Also about "whats training" if you play for example a warlock and scroll down to spellbooks for pets, you can right click and set to already trained and this make so that when you visit the pet trainer the "already trained" books are shown in black. Really usefull and quick way to know wich books to buy

Best thing about addons is how it keeps so many new players away from the game! I mean blizzard could add an in game service for these addons and actually get new players but they are far too lazy, every friend I ask to come play wow always quits once they realize all the addons they need, not even just that they know they need them its the setting them up

@@Frostadamus Weird. Mine just opens the window and doesn't show the chat channels - even when I'm actively in them and didn't leave. Have reinstalled a bunch of times to no avail. It worked fine for so long and just stopped 🤷🏼♂️
Well it's like real life. You don't really need all the new sensors and cameras and automatic stick to park and drive a car. But people still want them :D
RestedXP might be good for new people to the game. For people who have leveled in the game a few times in the past, you will notice that RestedXP addon actually slows you down and is quite overrated.
DBM is the biggest culprit of being TOO helpful. When Blizz specifically says they have to design raids around knowing people will have DBM, then it's a problem.
They will make harder content towards level 60. But even if they ban DBM, there will be weak auras. In Wotlk I had a weak aura pack that was telling me every move to make.
Removing DBM would not affect top players in any way. They will still be able to perform great and follow the mechanics. The medium skill player would have some struggle at the start in terms of getting used to it, but after a week or two would figure it out. The lowest skill player, well, they’re still failing the mechanics even with DBM. If DBM was the answer, we would have every single guild farm gnome week 1, which is not the case and many guilds are still progressing. They even added a boss with no cast bar, on an ability that can wipe a raid 100%. So, I think we’re fine with DBM. General state of the game is actually pretty decent. You want classic +? Here you go, expect some changes and embrace them. Im enjoying the game and will continue to do as long as its making sense like first 2 phases of SoD :)
as to addons being cheating, it depends on the addon. something like gargul which helps with loot and keeping track of +1 data i would not consider cheating. at one point in BC or vanilla (the originals not the classic versions) i remember some people talking about a healing addon which would downrank the spells to give the appropriate amount of healing to minimize overhealing. i'm not saying it actually existed, whoever in the guild was talking about that might have been completely full of crap, but if that did exist, cheating IMO. if you're letting something else play the game for you, that to me is cheating. As to your comment about addons taking skill..... yeah i don't think i agree with that. i have yet to use a single addon where i felt i had to "get better" with the addon before gaining w/e benefit it has. once you go through the one time headache of setting up an addon it's done, minus any keybind tweaks, but that exists if you tweak your keybinds w/o an addon too.
Add ons do the opposite of leveling the play field for new players vs veteran players. You have to go through a lot effort to setup weakauras but its mandatory for a serious player. New players or casual players will not have these add ons or macros and they will fall behind, and they might just give up on WoW to go play games that like FF14 that do actually have a level playing field. On top of that Blizzard has to build mechanics around the fact some players have the most advanced add ons which also causes new players to be punished by overly complex raid mechanics. Add ons and macros are good only if they do not give you an edge in combat. Players doing mythic raiding or arena should not need 1 add on or macro to play optimally, that's a fair playing field and this is how most modern games handle things.

Rested XP is not free! what's the use of having the addon if the guides are not free? absolutely 0 it's like saying wow it's free because they give you a lvl 20 trial. shame you're promoting such things
Rested xp is a paid addon 1-20 is nothing. Dejacharacter stats is a much better stat addon. BiS list is awful just for the fact a lot of bis lists that it takes from are terrible and wrong. Xp one is a weak aura which is in itself a whole other addon.

Hey. It's free 1- 20 including all features: Level splits, heartstone batching and many more. But it's funny how you ignore everything else and focus on 10% of the video.
OK. I'm going to have to stop you there for a second. Add-ons do anything BUT "level the playing field" in fact they do the exact opposite in WoW right now. While yes, some usability add-ons can do that, MOST add-ons in wow increase the gap between player rather than lessen it to the point users that don't use certain add-ons are at a clear disadvantage compared to those that do. Not only that, but in some instances, "having" the add-ons, isn't enough, you need to learn how to use them, modify them, etc. yourself. There's no "level" playing field when Add-ons are involved and the fact that some add-ons are even considered "must-have" (and it's not just for clickbait) is evidence of that. Aside from that, yea add-ons are a thing in WoW, I'm not going to say they shouldn't exist or they should be banned. Rather I want more of the "mandatory" add-on functionality to be baked into the game baseline. If your game can't function without add-ons, the problem isn't the add-ons, it's the game.
Cause addons give u a super advantage in diff situations. If they wanted it in the game they would add it tbh. I enjoy the least amount of addons. Lfg board and questie is all needed.

extremely weak pro addon arguments... 1 not everyone has even the knowledge of addons which means its not an even access, they do not even the playing field but objectively upset it, the lack of provisions against most addons doesnt mean they are ethicala to use. Amphetamine and cocaine was legegal too untill people found out the societal cost of addiction to the substance... Wow has become long term a worse game because of extensive use of addons and should be rid of them entirely just like we prohibited amphetamine even tho it increased producivity to controlled users...
