    This is an amazing explanation of not just any anyma but melodic techno in general. Love the contrast of melody and darkness. Makes perfect sense

    Never heard of Anyma before a few days ago but I felt compelled to go to the Sphere Las Vegas show in December. Feel like I gotta be at the first EDM event at Sphere.

    I would say that first Anyma (Reminding, Sentient, Sonder) it's been my favorite Anyma, but after Running he changed the future of the whole scene. I think we can consider him now "mainstream"

    I really miss the melodic dreamscape synth breakdown sounds from Tale of Us, Colyn, Adriatique etc - I don't think this new 'metallic' sound is as interesting.

    • @hugh_mungus123
      @hugh_mungus123 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@inthexone2902 I have this suspicion it comes from the UK festival scene, where a lot of our techno artists already sound very mainstream because that's how they get airtime on the radio (especially if it has lyrics) - and then they all follow a similar style. This then just spreads across the festival scene.

    • @AbstraktMusicLab
      @AbstraktMusicLab  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like that he's pushing sound design in a way.. Even though it's a similar sound in every song, you can still hear a loooot of melodic synth breakdowns in his songs, but I do also prefer things a bit more melodic. IGNITION by Q.U.A.K.E. is a really good example of this

    Hmmm, see, I am immediately annoyed to see everyone recording it on their phone like that and it kind of ruins it for me. Maybe it's because I am 40. Love Anyma, but I hate that so much of the new music out there is trying to sound like it. I'm also just worried about the whole scene going so mainstream, going to shows just doesn't feel the same as it used to. Again, maybe I am just getting older. Another thing, it's a little weird being at the events after getting sober, but the music still touches me at home with a small gathering of friends and that might just be enough.

    • @AbstraktMusicLab
      @AbstraktMusicLab  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm the same.. people are supposed to dance, not record In my opinion.. but it's no denial that this is a way to enhance your artist performance as well. One can say it's more about the mix the just the music for Anyma. Is that wrong? No, different opinions.
      I agree that when you to a show, you go to watch it through your eyes, not through your phone

    Anyma was nice for a year. But he steered a respectable melodic techno label into a cheesy and lame new vibe. I miss the legacy afterlife sound, realms of consciousness 1 to 3 were elite

    • @AbstraktMusicLab
      @AbstraktMusicLab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I was introduced to AFTERLIFE because of ANYMA. So in a way, AFTERLIFE did come out of UNDERGROUND because of that, but that's an amazing thin for the artist, right?

    His Sub Bass has a lot of energy due to intelligent saturation and distortion

    • @AbstraktMusicLab
      @AbstraktMusicLab  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Mate.. After you comment , I went to analyze the sub frequency from ANYMA, and I have a few comments. First and most importantly, what I consider a SUB frequency is around 40-80hz (ish)..
      In that sense, his subs are pretty flat.. like, they honestly sound pretty rounded without any resonating frequency.. even his layer 'above the sub', so around 80-160hz (ish) is pretty flat as well..
      What Anyma does with perfection is his MID BASS, which is where he really pushes the sound design, but the SUB frequencies are really regular
      Yes, Saturation can help it, but saturation would introduce more frequencies there, which are not in there.. so I feel he's only pushing the levels of the bass correctly! Great comment though!!! Really made me wonder

      🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 thanks a lot for your comment man, you and what you do is really inspiring for producer community. You cant believe how much time i spent studying the low frequencies of his sub and kick the only conclusion i got was the power comes from distorion you know its like his sub kick and sub bass have some kind of distorion that makes you hear it more easly unlike other subs that arent easy to hear. I think he use some spectre saturation(waves factory) on his 125 hz of his sub or mid bass that gives power to basslines.

    • @AbstraktMusicLab
      @AbstraktMusicLab  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Beyond_The_Fade555 but do you agree with me that 125hz it's not a SUB anymore, right?
      To me, a SUB is a pure sine wave with only sidechain on it. abstraktmusiclab.com/free-downloads In here I have a guide on how I mix my basslines, for me and for other clients

    • @redjammie8342
      @redjammie8342 ปีที่แล้ว +1
