Understanding that behind those harsh words and this rough tone is a burning frustration and a severely torn heart, knowing and acknowledging that anyone that gets involved in or caught up with their gang drama is at the end of the day a person with various connections outside this world of theirs, valuing life and other people’s relationships, all that just makes Draken’s heart shine ever so brightly through his intimidating looks; it makes him extremely likable as a character.
Mikey's good at the gang leader stuff, he commands respect and can rouse his gang to go beat down the gang that caused such harm to his subordinate's friend, no problem. But he doesn't really care about the parents and family. He technically may have done nothing wrong, but he engages in the way of life that harmed those innocent people. He doesn't inherently care about that, Draken is the one that makes him care.
You don't have to side with them and you don't have to go against them. Sometimes remaining silent and be respectfully neutral is the best option in situations
Draken is like a big brother to Mikey, and I feel like Mikey loves him for this reason.. he’s loyal to him, but he also knows how to make him a better person
The moment Draken proved he would be my favorite character. From the moment he showed up with his dragon tats, I was like "he'll be cool." Glad I was right. He's so respectful and responsible when he needs to be. And he's got swag. Mikey's lucky to have a friend like him who'll keep him in check and watch his back.
Remove the censorship! Lightsabers across the screen to hide the Manji symbol, different storyboarding than the OG cut, and some scenes were removed entirely. Unacceptable!

The symbol is what the swastika is based on, however its arms rotate counterclockwise as opposed to the clockwise rotation of the swastika. Of course, they decided censorship is better than letting idiots complain about something they don’t understand.
The censorship this episode almost ruined it, was that really necessary??? Just put a disclaimer at the beginning to clear confusion about the symbol.. Anyway I am really liking Draken and Mikey
@@ssj-rose4572 it was not a "little censorship" the Toman meeting scene was awkward (there was weird transitions and long pauses) and Im afraid those bad edits will drag on to the future eps esp with the fights. Tokyo Revengers is my favourite anime atm its so freaking good but some scenes in ep 5 were awkward I have to admit. Even blurring the symbols is better than just deleting scenes and weird transitions. I love it nonetheless and I will keep watching but its better to make our complaints heard. I want Tokyo Revengers to be the biggest anime of 2021. I just watched the Uncensored version of ep 5 and it was so much better, the Toman meeting and Mikey's speech felt more impactful too.

I think this show will be the demon Slayer of this year, not many people payed attention to demon Slayer until episode 19 and I think Tokyo revengers will have an episode like that that just blows everyone away

So fun little story, me and my brother who’s ironically named Mikey (Michael technically) are polar opposites, I’m much more pessimistic and hot headed while my little brother is much more optimistic and leveled out. I’m a little bit older now so I don’t have as much of a temper but my brother is still my moral compass, I couldn’t imagine a world without him just as I’d imagine Mikey without Draken
