Might be good at range, but that weapon will not cut it against 2 or 3 vortex horrors in CQ. You need something that will take out a horror in 2 shots minimum. Otherwise, they are right on top of you and you're dead. And the only thing that I've found that will do that is an Advanced, Instigating, One-Inch-Punch Starshard with all the right mods like focus nozzle, amplifier, and extended mag. Nice weapon, Dean. But it's all about SS right now, baby. What works. What don't.
Okay, got a Starlash off a weapon rack in the last mission. Holy s$%t! I modded it on the workbench and in full auto with the extended mag/rapid/shattering legendaries it's my highest DPS weapon. Getting 205 dmg, 3074 dps and that will shoot up even further once I dismiss Andreja (my Isolation Perk is +40%).
I'm glad they did this for the laser weapons, the fire rate and the damage totally transformed the equinox! I leveled up my laser skill with an orion and it was sheer torture. I haven't gotten a starlash in a drop yet, so far everything else.
Haven't had time to start shattered space yet. But amazingly no one here is crying "that's just a new skin!"😡 Like I saw in other comments about the new weapons.
yeahhhh they gonna fix that dps next update, not supposed to have that damage when converting back to full auto, imagine if they allowed any other rifle to keep its semi auto damage when converting to fully auto

Tried it. The gun shoots too slow in semi-auto mode. Haven't seen an auto model yet.
