I have watched your videos in sequence and now just jump from one to another time and time again and enjoy each video just like it was the first time. I didn't realise how professionally they were put together until I watched another couple that are relatively new to this. The two of you and now Lenny and the way you all interact is a joy to watch even without the fantastic scenery and information you give. Long may you sail.
It is just amazing how those 15-minute clips just make my week so much better! Thanks for sharing your time on the vaga with all your fans! And say hi to Steffen :D
I can't even begin to describe how wonderful your videos are. I was a powerboater on the great lakes, and the joy of being on the water there is no other experience like it. Watching your videos takes me back to those days, and watching you two and your equal love for boating is a dream of mine. I found out that my wife really never liked boating 🙁. So watching you guys is a absolute joy thank you for sharing with us and I wish you the best. Keep them coming.
Whenever I think the world is falling to chaos, I watch an episode, and you reset my view. you take me back to my happy place. keep up the good work. Luv you guys!
Top 10 amazing stuff, for me, about SLV 169. 1. Riles is concerned with safety. Seriously. No, stop laughing. Seriously. Powerboats. “You can’t go at a speed where you can’t see someone at all,” he says. 2. The funniest Australian word ever: Willywilly. 3. We learned the absolute best 30 minutes of Rileys’ life so far is drinking wine on a trampoline. So. You don’t need a boat, people. Make a baby and drink wine on a trampoline. Life, apparently, doesn’t get better than that. 4. Most frightening site: The Acopolypse Pier. What New York will look like after WWIII. 5. Captain Zee (shouldn’t that be Captain Zed?) The blue planet’s most confident captain ever. 6. Must be a metaphor for something: Fishing a bucket with no bottom out of the Atlantic Ocean. 7. Someone can never complain about other people’s driving again. Ever. Gotta see Riley driving a golf cart. Obviously he’s never played golf. Or driven in Darwin. (You can drive golf carts there out of town to remote swimming holes.) 8. Secrets we learned: Unlike Riley, Steffan is shy about tying the knot. ;) 9. Quote you never thought you’d hear from Riley: “Okay, I’m going to do the dishes..” (Remember that tour of La Vega 1 where he raised his arms at the galley and said, 'I don’t know what goes on here.' Remember? The whole entire galley he hadn’t a clue about. Five years sailing with Elayna and Riley is doing dishes. Someone is becoming domesticated.) 10. Absolutely the best scene on SLV 169 is found at 14:47. That looks sooooo good. And 15:08. And 4:18. And, and, and…
Love watching you guys because you enjoy the simple pleasures in life and are not out to try and impress. I wonder what my favorite part of each video is... maybe when Riley says how good your cooking is. Thanks for making these videos!
Just bought my first boat. Sea trials tomorrow then I head up the east coast of Australia to Port Douglas. A little 800 nm voyage to kick things off. Thanks to your inspiration. Hope we cross paths on the water someday. Keep up the good work
Steffen's back!!! Woohoo :) Seriously, I'm so glad you filmed your journey. I now have a boat, in part due to you. I'm making a two year plan to cut the lines and live my own adventure. I can't say it enough, thank you!!!
Found this channel on thursday and ive been binge watching episodes ever since... going crazy. Excellent videos guys im in love. Sending lots of love from Puerto Rico
Really awesome!! I’ve been on a TH-cam binge with you two for almost a week. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid to travel the world on a yacht. This week has been so inspirational watching you. Your videos and editing is all time, keep it up. I wish you two all the best. I feel compelled to donate because of the fire you have light under my arse. Thank you very much.
I was driving home from work last night listening to ABC Adelaide and Riley was being interviewed by Jules Schiller. Initially I could not believe it. All the best to you both. Great channel.
You guys are the best! So happy you got that 30. Min of bliss bro. Also, tell mademoiselle her song and story of her dad and the bottle touched my soul. True artist she is! And last weeks A day in the life was the best. I’m still grinning about you teasing her ‘bout how your the star of the show- lol. And tell Steph we love him. Peace & Love Uncle Matt
I've been watching these videos for a while now. I'm a filmmaker first and a sailor second. They just keep getting better. Elyna, you have a natural talent for editing and rhythm. These videos are so genuine and organic and your use of music is spot on. Keep it up, I enjoy watching.
You just discovered why I and others sail across the Gulf Stream several times a year if only for a few days at a time. Pure bliss! I hope you made onto South Bimini it’s unspoiled except a few older resorts.
Gee l liked this vid, the music then your voice in the beginning and then the way that you’ve put it together, beautiful shots. I can tell that you have put a huge amount of effort into it all. Well done. Love Love Love J
Awesome video! Glad to see more underwater, sunset, city tours and now, LIGHTNING! Great editing and awesome soundtrack! Keep up the great work and you'll keep us wanting more every time! Cheers!!
I died at 6:36 🤣 Also at 10:40 Riley those waterspouts are awesome. Ground zero isn't that bad. Watching one form from the water up will blow your mind.
I read all the comments and there is nothing more I can say! You three are just wonderfully inspiring people! Yes, three... little La Vagabonde is there too!
Drove a jet ski for the first time a couple weeks ago. Man ! Those little buggers are fast! They throw off a huge wake even when at idle speed. I spend a lot of time on my 20 foot center console, mostly in the Wando River and its creeks, other side of Charleston. Other fishermen have told me that when they are anchored at a fishing spot they prefer we stay on plane when passing through as it generates a smaller wake than when off plane because there is a point when off plane that the hull plows through the water generating a larger wake and coming down off plane makes its own little tsunami. The no wake speed for my boat is 5mph or less at which point I may as well be sailing! Tidewater one- niner- eight, out.
When I saw Coral reef II on your ais I was thinkin’ I knew that boat. Then she appeared. I did work off that boat back in 1989 - 1991 when we were all younger than you two. Research off that boat was always a blast.
As I continue to watch your vlogs I am just amazed at the fine job you do, it is educational and it Is heartwarming and very inspirational....thanks so much...stay safe!
I'm bloody landlocked at the moment living in Brasilia, Brazil and I'm planning to take my Brazilian girlfriend back to Australian permanently to be closer to the ocean again. I was looking at buying a yacht when I got home and found this channel while searching for the right boat to buy... my plans have change... You guys are bloody awesome and I need this in my life. Being a pro scuba diver in the past, avid fisherman and surfer, you guys have shown me a new way. I hope to see you out there!
Watching Elayna hugging the rudder and strolling upside down along the length of the hull had me smiling rather ridiculously for a time. Very best wishes to you all from a kindred spirit up the coast in snowy New Hampshire.
Hi, You two are in a bloody good paddock, I recon the best paddock in the world. I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy your experience. As an older person I am curious as to how you are both going to handle the introduction of a child into your life. I will watch with interest having had a few myself. Well done. Carry on.
Wow. Might be the best episode created ❤️ The edit is amazing Elanya, thank you for showing me the world, it’s amazing to see how life looks like which seems like different planet 🌏
Glad you’re loving the Bahamas, one of my favourite areas on the planet, and as you say, let’s hope it stays that way. I was worried that coral bleaching would kill those beautiful reefs. Love watching you guys, sail on forever ⚓️
Power VS Sail! Owned a 45 foot motor yacht on the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon. Trying to get up the river with 50 to 100 sailboats criss crossing the river seeing how close they could come. Of course, I have to yield to them..which is fine and they damn sure would get out of the way of a container ship cruising at 22 knots down the channel. I had finally had enough and changed things up a bit and just shut the engines down....now it's their problem:) I think they got the hint. Respect works both ways!
Great dingy mount, but I bet only a few can pull that off. High chance of death if not swimming in the ocean", that is funny... Love watching you guys.
Like all of us, Riley gets so frustrated with tourist things, but also gets frustrated with lack of resources and efficiency. You can’t have it all, and can’t forget you are a tourist traveling. Those little local areas, stores, and spots are patient with all of us visitors who don’t view ourselves as tourists 😆
The bucket look like it was cut to make a "look bucket". You glue clear plexiglass to the bottom of the bucket and you can look over the side of your dingy, with it. Great way to check out the bottom, without putting on your mask and sticking your face in the water. If you don't have one, you should make one.
wow again outstanding footage :)) ,, thanks for showing us local living on those islands ... awsum....cant wait till next one .... baby sharks .... he looks a little grumpy though lol.... ha ha hope to see you guys back in the Dominican Republic .....at some point too....
Amazing channel guys, literally living the dream ! You should make a sailing knots video and even a basic speargun rigging / knots video, lots of people should find them useful 👍🏼
A "Willie,Willie" ...lol...you Aussies have some of the most entertaining and amusing names for things! A "Willie,Willie"; otherwise known as a waterspout, is basically a non-supercell tornado over water but I think I'm gonna call them Willie,Willie's from now on! ;p
Also advice from a fellow world traveller. I’m a pilot and my kids have done more trips than months they’ve been on the planet... advice passed onto me was “When you’re travelling on a plane, never let your kids feet touch the ground” ie when they’re very young and need the bathroom carry them there and back. The people who have trouble with small kids on long flights have allowed their kids to walk at some stage. The child realises it can walk around and now WILL DO, up and down and up and down and up and down the aisles for an entire long haul flight. If you just have them sit then As far as the child knows they are travelling, just like in a bus, and won’t walk unless shown they can do so. All the very best.
I was just at the SS Sapona shipwreck a few months back! Jumped off the bow. Such a cool wreck. It was a ship literally made out of concrete and then the military used it for target practice!
Thank you guys. I've watched some videos about the west Bahamas and they ear lobster and couch every day. I know it's close to Florida but it looks amazing. You get more beautiful and motherly every day Elayna.
found this channel 3 days ago and watched over 130 episodes. im hooked
its a me mario holy shit
@Jamppa yea you are correct i have tons of free time all day everyday actually :)
Very addicting channel! HAHA I feel your struggles!
Because of the Girl?😂
its a me mario same!
“I’m Elayna!” - Riley. Classic Riles
No he is not haha
Sometimes I just get sucked back into your videos and I gladly rewatch everything. It’s almost already like nostalgic memories for me
You guys are amazing, Elayna is positively blooming and it is great to see the happy face of Steffen back on the boat turning his back on big cities.
I am amazed at Riley's knowledge of all aspects of sailing including the prevailing winds etc.
thumbs up if youre happy Steffen is back... :)
Aah, La Vagabonde, the tunes, the glorious ocean and the beautiful people, a highlight of my week. Fair winds to my fellow Aussies.
Best half hour of Riley’s life...
And a pretty great 15.59 minuets for us viewers.
Cheers 👍

In the U. S. we call them water spouts or a water tornado,' great video, thankyou...
Enjoyed your tour around Bimini. I spent some time there back in the 60s.
An awesome boat sailed by an awesome Aussie couple living the Aussie sailors dream i dip my hat to you both!
The drone shots are great, and it's good to see you guys cheery :)

Yep, keeps the waist from sliding off the side of the dinghy

Kind of a new follower to this channel, but Riley, you really inspired me to grow my mustache!! I suddenly feel more complete... :-)

I was just at the SS Sapona shipwreck a few months back! Jumped off the bow. Such a cool wreck. It was a ship literally made out of concrete and then the military used it for target practice!
i can still see it when i close my eyes that was so loud. kinda like when you turn down the radio to get a better look.
Makes me want to travel more! I love your videos greeting from the Netherlands
Thank you guys. I've watched some videos about the west Bahamas and they ear lobster and couch every day. I know it's close to Florida but it looks amazing. You get more beautiful and motherly every day Elayna.
I miss the old Bimini and End of the world bar down by the old Chalks ramp, spent a lot of time at Browns and the Angler before it burned.
Your videos calm my anxiety so well, Simply beautiful xx
Underwater shots are beautiful!!!😍
