Founded by Steve Bug in 1999, the label coined a sound and style that dominated club culture for years. Can't believe this one is from 2004, ahead of its time and completely timeless. I was captivated since the first time i listened to it. And the video is wonderful, dogs are the biggest gift life ever gave us.
I looked it up and it says 2007. Though, it could have been a song recorded years earlier they didn't make a video to until much later. 2007 makes more sense as it was the 50th anniversary of her trip.

i heard this song first time 17 years ago ! everything has changed since then from me to the world we live in ... i remember the bliss of being 15 asking parents for money ,going out on weekends ,afterparties, also one thing i could have never imagined having to say girls were girls ,boys were boys our society was in a very good place back in late 2000s comparing to now.This song basically makes me think so much !

ham radio operators reported hearing lakias heartbeat even though the dog was already dead by that point which led to a conspiracy theory that her space capsule had a dead man switch that would activate whenever onboard sensors detected that the dog was dead in order the make people believe that the dog was still alive even though the dog was already dead by that point however their is no proof that this conspiracy theory was ever real in the first place😥🛰📡

Turns out she wasn't the first dog they sent up and not the last either. One of the scientists later said that "we didn't learn enough from this mission to justify her death." 💔

Such a wonderful song! This is a music video with a message about the seperation of a pet and owner. The nerverending pseudo-facts about Laika, beign either male / female, stray or not, little time to live or not, it doesnt matter at this point. Trentemoller delivered this gem. A perfect song with a reminder of every dog's ever ending love to his human/mommy/dad remains until its last breath. Bravo et félicitations for this videoclip. Extremely touching, sad yet it holds a huge statement against animal cruelty used for science.

Laika likely died within hours after launch from overheating, possibly caused by a failure of the central R-7 sustainer to separate from the payload. The true cause and time of her death was not made public until 2002.

What a gorgeous little dog in this video! 😍 Those eyes! What a tribute to Laika. Though technically, Laika didn't have an owner as she was a stray. A tragic and unescessary death under the cruel hands of humans. This is why I have always been against animal testing. And always will be.

Actually that is what Oleg Gazenko said. He was the person who trained and supervised Laika. I agree with him they shouldn't have done it or at least send a different animal like a rat or something.

what is the metaphor?
In the surface the song is about a woman who can't get over her lost love, but it can equally apply to a doggo that misses her hooman and who even in her dying hours looks to her hooman for comfort and security.
