As a Cubs fan, I have to tip my hat to the Indians who played some of the best baseball I've ever seen. So glad to see my boys in blue finally win it, but i also don't wanna see the Indians go on being forgotten. Both teams deserved this trophy
After 108 years the journey to a world series championship is finally over for all cubs fans they all can party like its 1908 again and to my late grandma and grandpa in heaven they can finally say there beloved cubs are world series champions as a life long cardinals fan im happy for the city of Chicago and there fans they are bringing a championship back to a city that has waited for 101 years
AND? i know people do not like to do math, think of the odds if you had a computer simulate the outcome of a 3-1 series but did the simulation 10 thousand times for both occurrences each team being down 3-1 they both might come back 5% of the time out of 10,000 simulations. im saying 5% for both teams combined. in reality even 5% is high for a computer model and these teams coming back has less to do with math and more to do with VEGAS money lines and alot of very complicated dynamics leading to these events being pre determinded and scripted dont believe me if you can comprehend how sports can be rigged and scipted

just speaking about this with a friend last night, i'm a Red Sox fan. it was awesome to see my Red Sox break their 84 year drought in 04 & then see the White Sox break their 88 year drought the next year. it sucks to see how their run has been largely forgotten about, but it really shows how Chicago is a Cubs town. such a beautiful thing to see joy after a century of despair!

As someone who's been a Cubs fan since before I understood what the Cubs or baseball were, this has been an unreal day. I remember how Harry Caray told us at the end of the 1991 season that someday the Cubs would go to the World Series and win. They fulfilled that promise last night. I wish Harry, Ernie Banks, and Ron Santo were still alive to see this. Hats off to Cleveland, they fought to the end, they have nothing to be ashamed of. Heck, if they'd been up against any team BUT the Cubs, I would've been cheering for them.
Lets remember the generations of Cubs fans who lived & died without getting a chance to witness a WS victory. Last Cubs WS win came right after the first Model T rolled off the assembly line.

Two teams squaring off, giving their all - it came down to game 7 extra innings and of course Chicago Cubs got the trophy bringing it home for the National League. I think it's time for the home field advantage at the all star game to end. I am a St. Louis Cardinals fan and have to say hats off to the Cubs and I am looking forward to the ongoing battles of Cubs Cardinals next year and every year.
