Thank you for making something complicated look so simple to us neophytes. The mastery isn't in just doing the trick but in breaking it down into its individual movements.
Well, honestly… If you’re just starting out, I recommend using the cotton rope, but it Hass to be specifically the Sampson spark cord type. It can’t be clothesline you buy from Home Depot. Poly ropes really are for very advanced Trick Road Bruce I mean regular cowboys like us can throw them around, catch things and do some spinning but they’re not as forgiving.
I am new to roping. I am looking to get started. I have watched a few videos from various people and several of yours. I really like your style. Anyways...I want to buy a role like yours exactly. I looked up kingropes.com. I looked at it briefly trying to find the rope you use. It is Nylon 7/16? When I select ropes, then nylon, there is a list. There are e different 7/16 ropes. I am not exactly sure what I am looking for. so, I was wondering if you have an item number or can help explain which one to get? From what I see you just buy the rope and make the Honda yourself? Just electric tape and a coin for weight? I appreciate you sharing the videos. Thank You.
Honestly this is the easiest Trick. It takes a little time. Look up Mexican charro roping. That is harder because they use a 100 foot rope that you have to keep untangled.
That's right. It certainly has a level of difficulty, but if you take a look to charro roping (floreo) you'll see that this 'butterfly' is like the first rung in the world of charreria.
You are the first person that explains on how to do the butterfly to where I can see perfectly the movement of the hand thanks .

Sure wish you had been around to share your valuable knowledge when I was growing up in the '50s!
I can't access your webpage. It pulls up a VIMEO page that says, "Sorry, this page is no longer available."
