    If you're undecided on whether to get this light or the original light, get the original XPLOR 600 manual version. The main reasons you'd consider this light would be for any of the features I mentioned in the video which are faster recycle times, better color accuracy, brighter modeling lamp, or the better handle. If those aren't something of upmost importance to you you'll be fine with the manual XPLOR 600. =)

    Excellent video mate, thanks for taking the time to make this it was useful as I am looking into the light. As a constructive criticism, I found it slightly hard to follow because of the speed - but otherwise great!

    Good review.
    Did you have any issues with the TTL and adjusting the light from the trigger?
    And would you mind telling me which camera and trigger you have, and the firmware version on your trigger? (hold the menu button while turning on the trigger)
    Thanks very much!

    Quick question, when using light modifier in the 7th minute, did you switch to manual mode? I thought TTL is technically only accurate if it's used without any diffuser. Thank you.

    Smart flash photographers choose ATG/Godox/Jinbei strobes.
    Only fools rather get the broncolor, elinchrom, profoto & phottix.
    Just like why buy Pocket Wizard when other are much better and less.

    Good review, especially the comparison with power output and reflectors. I'm still however, not sold as for the new strobe power output being the same as the original version until I see results with light modifiers such as a beauty dish, softbox, or some other modifier. It did not match with reflectors (about 3/4stop power output difference) Could you do such a review proving this and verifying with a light meter? Or if you have already done this, then perhaps provide a link with the results. Thanks!

    Hi Francisco, did you get a handle with your XPlor ad600 pro? Some older videos shows the ad600 pro with a handle, but most recent reviews do not seem to have a handle. Just wondering if that's included detached or you have to buy separately. Thanks.

      FJH Photography , thanks for the reply. Now I wonder if they shipped me an used/open box 600pro. Because the one I received already came with handle installed, then two weeks later I received the handle attachment by separate bubble mailer :(

    Unfortunately this is not a true 600ws flash. I also have a $1500 lumedyne flash battery that has 50, 100, 200, 400, 600, and 800 watt seconds. And this does not compare at all to when the lumedyne flashes 600ws. I would say this is only 400ws. It is very typical for a flash company to lie about their WS.

    • @fjhphoto
      @fjhphoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's more than powerful enough for me and much cheaper than your $1,500 light so I'm fine with it.

    • @KevinRay2
      @KevinRay2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fjhphoto Yes if you are an amateur photographer it is just fine but for those of us that are professionals there is not near enough watt seconds to do any kind of distance shot when heavily backlit.
