Tommy Morrison who played Tommy Gunn was a real boxer who became heavyweight champion when he beat George Foreman. Biss, I think you were the most emphatic person cheering Rocky on in the street fight. I enjoyed your reaction. 😊😊😊❤❤

Stallone has regrets he did not spend more time behind the scenes of this film. This was meant to be the final Rocky film, but many people weren't happy with that, so they made the "Rocky Balboa" film. There was also tragedy outside of this film in real life. The actor that played Rocky's son Robert was his real-life son Sage Stallone. He died from coronary artery disease. The actor that played Tommy (Tommy Morrison) died from AIDS related complications. The Kid in the movie is named Robert. Robert was played by Sage Stallone, who was Sylvester's son. Sage passed away in 2012 from a coronary disease.
Rocky's son in the movie was his real son he died about 10 years ago. Tommy Gunn (Tommy Morrison) was a real boxer this movie was just before him winning the heavy weight title. He boxed George Foreman and Lennox Lewis in his career. There's a video called 'Tommy Morrison - Tragedy of the Duke' about him you can find on yt which is way more crazier than his role in this movie.
Rambo, yes please, it has one of the best monologues of all Sylvester movies and he has a lot of great ones, but every Sylvester fan looks forward to 1 monolog the whole movie, so powerful!

Everyone gets mad at Paulie, but he wasn't to blame in this situation. First, I'm not sure how he had power of attorney for Rock and Adrian (bad writing, I'm assuming). Second, Paulie was a victim as well. The attorney is the real bad guy. Finally, Rocky and Adrian hired the attorney - not Paulie. I get it, because of Paulie's history, it's easy to get mad at him, but this wasn't his fault. It's mostly the script to blame. This was actually my first Rocky movie. I watched it when it first came out on VHS with my dad. After seeing how excited I was, he said, "you know there are four other movies and I have them if you want to watch them." And now 30 years have passed. What the hell.

Burt Young, aka Paulie, recently died October 8, 2023. The man everyone loved to hate. He was 83 years old.

Once you finish with the Rocky movies may I suggest you watch the movie “Over The Top”to keep the Sylvester Stallone train moving. It’s a very underrated film but very entertaining with that similar “underdog “ vibe like the Rocky movies.

Hi Biss, great reaction! I don't hate Rocky V, but like most people I think it's the weakest of the series. I think the idea for this movie was to bring it back to it's roots, make it more realistic. Rocky III and IV kinda made Rocky seem like a superhero, and they tried to reign that back in here. All I will say about the next movie, 'Rocky Balboa', is I liked it better than Rocky V.

When I was a Kid I didn't like this movie, but as I rewatch it as an adult, ZI learn to appreciate this movie, and I find it better than Rocky 4

I think of the movie Creed, as if it's Rocky 5 - The Do-Over, this time we get it right.
They have a lot of the same elements, mainly Rocky becoming Micky to an up and coming young fighter.

I love the way you react to scenes Bliss, I saw all your Rocky reactions one to four, loved them all I'm gonna go back to watch them again you really get into the movies and the characters makes it a lot of fun for us, those Rocky flicks are some of the best movies ever made emotional powerful inspirational and comical too at times, I saw the first four in the theaters when they first came out, Stallone is awesome a hero to many with these films I'm a big fan of his, Burt Young's real name is Gerald Tommaso DeLouise, Italian American same as Sly and Talia who's Italian American also her real name is Talia Coppola, so sad Burt just passed away a month ago, I really liked Rocky V, yes watch the Rambo movies from the 1980's 1 to 3, awesome movies I saw them all in the theaters also I remember the crowd response was incredible back then and also for the Rocky movies.😊

Rambo is a great series of movies that I think you'd enjoy. They don't have the love story that Rocky has with Adrian but they do carry emotion on their own.... 💞💖
This movie was considered a disappointment, even by Stallone himself. The setup involving Rocky losing his fortune also doesn't make sense. As someone who had to deal with the legalese regarding Power of Attorney, I don't think there really is a logical reason why Paulie - someone who is neither Rocky's spouse nor descendant - would have any Power of Attorney over Rocky's estate unless both Rocky and Adrian had willingly filed the legal paperwork authorizing it, which I don't think either of them would have done because he's friggin' Paulie. And even if they did, Paulie likely wouldn't be able to use his Power of Attorney to make accounting decisions on their behalf unless both Rocky and Adrian had become mentally incapacitated to the point of being no longer able to make decisions about their estate.
You should watch the original ending. It's a lot more serious, a lot more disturbing, and Rocky dies after the fight. But of course Hollywood wanted to keep making movies so they made him change it to the almost cartoonish version it is now.
Definitely check out 'Rocky Balboa' and then after that, check out the 'Creed' movies. As for Rambo, I'm probably in the minority here, but I never cared for the Rambo movies. The Rocky franchise (and 'Creed' by extension) is great though!

What a lot of people miss (and it's VERY easy to miss) - is the fact Paulie was in the US Navy as there's photos of him in uniform in his apartment in Rocky 1. I took Paulie's actions as a man who feels let down by his country.

Oh yeah, I think you should give Rambo a shot, it's a lot of over the top action which can be quite enjoyable.

@@angelaspanger I miss the themes the Rocky Horror Show sets up that the rest of the film in the series ignore, plus the singing, and the dancing. The rest of the series could have been so much better if they had only followed the pattern laid down by Rocky Horror.

thanks for the reaction, I am really enjoying rewatching the Rocky saga with you. as far as this movie goes, I personally feel it is the weakest. From what i have heard, Stallone did not have as much input on this movie as he did the others prior. I hope you will continue the series as there is still good movies to come and continue the Rocky story, including Creed 1 and 2 as well. As far as Rambo, I hope you will watch that series of movies as well. I saw all but the last one, some better than others, but all entertaining. Thanks for all the great reaction videos.
