Great perfomance! I'm comfortable with Ableton Live workflow for live performance and live looping/tweaking; i want a dawless+onebox setup for my live performance. I bought a MPC ONE and i love the pads, but the worklow is crunchy and i find myself switch context often breaking the flow. If you have to keep only one, do you prefer a "Force+MPD 218" or a "MPC One + Launchpad X" ? Or Akai Force is good enough for finger drumming/beat making?
Hey thank you! And thanks for the sub! I also use Ableton and Push 2 for live looping and the Force can be similar with some restrictions. I have not yet updated to the latest firmware though. To be honest I have tried many different systems for live looping and live performance and I continue to gravitate to the dedicated Boss loopers. I'm super excited about the new Gen 505 and 600. I'm actually currently using an iPad looping system with MPC One for drums until I get the new RC-600! The Force could still be an option though for you and the pads are fine for finger drumming if you are accurate. I love your setup! Are you able to also record to your Laptop simultaneously also use a DAW or MPC software?
Hi. Thank you! I certainly could record to my DAW (Ableton) but I have not done that yet. I usually just export the files.
Nice! Would the force be better for live looping performance?
Thank you! The force Can work for live looping but I do get the occasional clicking sounds at the beginning of loops because Akai has not implemented auto fades on clips. At this point personally I still prefer to use a dedicated looping device for looping such as the boss RC 505.

@@JoshElliottMusic that sucks, I can add a crossfade on my loops for MPC One but can’t figure it out on the force. Adding a fade in/out to every audio track is a pain.
How many sounds come with that kit? I could look it up, just want to see if you know? Do you use any of the stock kits? That's all I use right now...SBN RESONATE
I should have mentioned that in the review! Oh well I'm new to this. It has 5 programs containing 271 multisampled percussion samples, over 50 unique instrument. Also check Drum Broker and mxsii sounds.

Do you have the Akai force synced to the mpc one? would you recommend using both?
Hey thanks for the comment. I don’t think they were synced here. I was just using both to try these samples on different pads. You certainly could benefit by using both but there is a lot of overlap and you could probably get enough functionality out of one or the other depending on your wants and needs.

i thought the song at the end was cool yo.... and you was funny..lol... and no i'm not gay... lol... ive been looking for as much latin percussion as i can find and was about to give up and just sample all the sounds i could find but this pack seems descent so thank you for this video ..
Thanks ha ha! I feel like the camera makes me a little goofy sometimes. I’m still pretty new to talking on camera. Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad this helped you find what you need. It’s totally worth it sometimes to buy something that’s already put together like this. I didn’t really talk about it enough in the video but I feel they did a really really good job putting together this pack. But hey maybe for a future video I will just sample random noises from my kitchen and make a beat. 🤪
