I've had no problems except they don't vent when storing fuel. Thus they puff up in your garage in the summer and collapse in the winter if any fuel remains in the tank and you don't crack the lid for ventilation. Not a big deal and typical for many fuel cans. I think they work well for transporting and refueling however. RMC has only carried them the last couple years I believe.
I've had three of these and they all started leaking at the seam along the middle at the base of the can, stick with VP cans I've had some for over ten years with zero leaks
I would like to see some kind of indicator that alerts you to 'full' tank, when bike is finally full. In a race environment with occasional ear splitting noise and vibration (from nearby vehicles stationary and passing, and other people working on the bike's air filter etc), some kind of visual cue would be great, indicating; 'finished fueling' .
Awesome, looks like a pain in the ass, the whole reason why I want a utility jug has been changed with this crap. Plus, isn't the Tuff Jug the crappy one that always leaks?
Has anyone figured out how to use one of these on a KTM (WITH THE KTM ADAPTER) without pressurizing the bike's tank and spraying fuel all over you and into your eyes?
This has to be one of the most useful things I seen. So, it works for bikes. Do you think the adapter would be needed if fueling other machines like mowers? Because this is a great idea.
Not good for lawn mowers snow blower generator backpack blower etc can’t tell when it’s full by then it’s a huge mess. Gas cans you need a clear funnel or spout it’s another company with that spout I think it’s vp?
I have not figured out how to put fuel in my 2018 KTM 350 XC-F with out it blowing fuel out all over the place! All over me and the bike. As the bike tank fills.. the air space within the tank becomes smaller, it pressurizes... and blows gas everywhere. I have learned to hate it!
Same here but i use it for honda 22". Noticed that a blow can be minimised if the bike is on middle stand but still fuel spils everywhere and it fills tank absolutelly full with no space for closing a lid.
Yes, if you have the room for it this would be great for keeping extra fuel on your watercraft. You can also check out something like this: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/rotopax-fuel-pack-p if you're more limited on space. Thanks for watching!
Cans swell after one season, “ripper spout” should be called “dripper spout”. Rubber o-ring under the lid also splits after 5 fills. Lastly it literally only fills that dirt bike they showed in the video. Good luck filling a car or watercraft.
These are still available. The link in the video description has been updated. You can also check them out here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/tuff-jug-utility-jug-with-ripper-spout-p
In 2023 this is pure gold 👍🏻 Just ordered mine

The EPA is out of hand sheesh. I store my gas in mason jars and zip locks. Don’t tell on me. I guess I’ll get one of these. 😁👍
LostInPA i exposed you, they're on their way
Element 115 I won’t go quiet. 😀
*LostInPA* Haha. Good stuff.
Mine the Spout won't close all the way so when I pull it out Gas goes all over the Place.

Thomas West replace the o rings
Element 115 I don't think orings are going to stop a leak from the plastic weld line on the jug itself
Hey! how long can fuel be stored in these?
Yellow (Legal) for diesel? Is nozzle diameter designed for Truck use? Great post!

EPA and DOT are entirely different regs. DOT says transport gas in red cans.

Yeah why do I have a spare vent hose that came with it ???? Where does it go???
First time I used it fuel leaked all over from below the red part, super annoying because I was stoked on the product.
CHECK THE CAP SEAL, THEY DO FALL OFF AT TIMES.....
When will these ship with orings on the cap? Currently unusable with out them
Your jug should have come with the o-ring needed. Contact Warrant@rockymountainatv.com and they can help get you the o-ring.
will this work on a dry break system
Definitely getting one.... White👍
Love the idea!!! But they are IMPOSSIBLE to get in Alaska.
Does the 5gal and 2.7gal have the same size of the mouth?
Yup. They don’t work on the new husky 2 strokes . that ripper spout is too long and bottoms out on hump inside fast tank. Prolly same with the Ktms’s.
Tuff Jug mentions in their product copy that an Adapter is Required for KTM. I would imagine the same for Husqvarna models. Thanks.
Rocky Mountain ATV MC that’s good to know ! Thanks 🙏
Silvers Ss I have the adapter for my 250xcw.. it splashed fuel EVERYWHERE!!
CoJoBo12 no doubt. Junk cans. Piss fuel everywhere.
Has anyone figured out how to use one of these on a KTM (WITH THE KTM ADAPTER) without pressurizing the bike's tank and spraying fuel all over you and into your eyes?
I had the same experience
Just drill a few holes around the rubber adaptor
This has to be one of the most useful things I seen. So, it works for bikes. Do you think the adapter would be needed if fueling other machines like mowers? Because this is a great idea.
*TheTyrial86* Most likely. The adapter piece is a good item to have if you're fueling all kinds of machines. Wouldn't hurt. Thanks.
@@rmatvmc I am thinking the diameter of the fill spout is too large for a lawn mower..
Will the Ripper spout fit on an LC LC2 can ?
How do you know when your tank is full
Fatih Toplu it stops automatically
Will570 Thanks

you need the KTM adapter
I have the same issue with the KTM adapter. My vent hose runs through the handle so maybe it needs to run in the main part of the tank.
Same here but i use it for honda 22". Noticed that a blow can be minimised if the bike is on middle stand but still fuel spils everywhere and it fills tank absolutelly full with no space for closing a lid.
Mine came with a straw tube , does that go under the spout?
Looking for the same answer. I think so? 🤔
Can this be used with cars and trucks?
These are meant for motocross bikes and off-road machines but Tuff Jug does have a car adapter cap available on their website.
Where does the air hose go? I seen some instructions to put it in the hole in the ripper cap but then it leaks everywhere...
The vent hose should attach to the underside of the ripper cap and be routed through the handle inside the jug.
Hope that helps!
@@rmatvmc Just tried and it won't go round the curvature of the handle. The pipe isn't bendy in the slightest
those are very cool.
How the hell do you open it!
Bought one for my Kubota BX tractor
king of wake: Kubota Dayzil is beast in the Outbeck.
I've seen so many effed-up fuel cans I'd be surprised if that one even works. I know you're saying it works.
Fuentes Artist it works lol I had to regrease my oring because it started leaking but it’s all good now
Mine also won't shut on its own. I can't say about all of them but mines Junk
can you have it on a seadoo ?

So the white cans are better , anything with CARB on it is junk.
these things suck I have newer Kawasaki kx250s and the spout doesn't fit in the tank
What year is your KX?
@@rmatvmc 99
Pull out that stupid white sleeve inside the tank opening
@@Distracted_driving_kills how do you get it out? I have one in my 03 kx125.
It sounds like there is absolutely no consensus about this being a quality fuel can.

bob65656565656565 👍 bout to buy a nice jug for my bikes I may just stick with the VP race jugs
Why make something simple when you can complicate it?
Shut up and take my money ....
*wrench One* - cash or credit? :)
