I totally agree with you that traveling in Europe during summer is overrated. After living in Thailand for 9 years I can’t stay without aircon any longer. Also, weather wise it’s much better in spring and autumn. Summers in Europe are too hot now.

In my planning for my European trip I have decided that my trip to Italy will be Venice and the Amalfi Coast definitely. I do want to see the coliseum but that's about it for Rome. I will say that those sandwiches looked amazing and I'm glad you guys finally found some awesome authentic Italian food, unlike on your trip to Venice☺Thanks again for an amazing trip share and I'll see you guys in the next city! Yes the Amalfi Coast is beautiful! Just research carefully where you stay. I’ve heard cabs are hard to find and many places require multiple flights of stairs to get to if you’re walking, so it can get exhausting!
I was in Rome in 1984 and 1985 and the pick pockets were notorious back then as well. We were on a crowded bus and my mother fought off a guy that had his hand in her large basket type purse (no zipper). We had no idea this kind of thing was happening in Rome.

It definitely worth it my visit was 5 years ago in April yhe weather was perfect it was clean, we didn't met any scammers or any kind of theft at all i think bad things only happen in Summer 😅

@@TopFlightFamily it's not a resort or anything but the stairs are cool, there's a, and the front staff speak English. No breakfast included but they're are quite a few coffee/pastry shops nearby. It's not in the touristy area at all but there's a little park nearby with a great gelato shop across from it. And the lights in the shower change colors 😁
Too bad you missed the Vatican. The art work there is truly stunning, even divine. I am not religious, but there's an atmosphere and energy there that grips you. I agree though, don't visit Italy in the summer!!!

Rome is my favourite European city outside of London. I suggest avoiding Sunmer like any other European city because we're not built for these heatwaves. For me, Paris is overrated! I felt like I was playing hopscotch with dog poop on the walkways 💩, their metro was 🤮 and the locals were not friendly to us unfortunately 😔.
Lol omg the hopscotch 😅 Yeah I don’t really understand why a Mediterranean country like Italy hasn’t gotten down with AC. Like it’s warm most of the year?! Maybe not in the north but def as you move further south. It’s just weird to me

Love Rome, I rang in the year 2000 there, was there two years before for Christmas, the food, the Spanish Steps, the oceanside. I just loved it.
