  • Let's School continues and we treat ourselves to a lovely garden space filled with four very expensive, very fancy and very useful statues! We get in the four big expensive statues and also add some other nice bits and bobs like chairs, plants and peace corners!
There's a new bit of research so we unlock it and use what we've learned to upgrade our management rooms. They're now significantly better with modern(ish) technology, like a phone with buttons rather than a rotary dial!
In a bit of an effort to make our teachers slightly better at teaching, because we are a school and all, we send a few of them away for training, but not before a trip to the teacher training academy place to increase their potential.
Also we uncover another unexplored area on the map, we change our wares in the supermarket and we get robot vacuum cleaners! Lots of them!

In Let’s School, you take on the role of a principal tasked with the challenge of revamping and managing your alma mater! The game features two core mechanics: the construction and designing of the school and managing the dynamics of students and teachers.
Each student has unique interests and aspirations, making your role as headmaster more complex. Balancing factors like your school's reputation, satisfying students' basic needs, overseeing academic pressure, and managing aspects like clothing, food, and travel provide an immersive and challenging experience. Aside from the usual responsibilities of a headmaster, you are also tasked with managing various issues that originate outside the school, including mysterious dangers and potential threats that might cause things to go bananas!
The architectural design of the school is a blank canvas for the player. With the freedom to plan and construct various functional facilities and access to hundreds of educational equipment, you define your institution's aesthetic and practical landscape. Don't limit yourself to horizontal expansion - think vertically by constructing multi-story buildings for more innovative developments or even eccentric structures!
The fate of teachers and students lies in your hands. The recruitment process, teaching methodologies, and personal growth of teachers and students rest on your decisions. Enhancing the skills of your teachers opens up opportunities for them in different roles. You can influence student morale and academic performance by offering elective courses, thereby shaping their future life paths.
The management of school discipline is another crucial responsibility. Be mindful of the impact of school facilities on student morale, and beware of signs of student distress. Overeating in the canteen could lead to weight gain, while an increase in eyeglass usage could signal excessive stress. Proper access to sanitary facilities is vital, as a lack thereof may lead to widespread anxiety and misuse of the school premises.
To maintain discipline, monitor for contraband among students and establish an effective punishment system. Handling real-time crises such as truancy, bullying, and questioning also falls within your responsibilities.
Fostering a balanced school environment through field days, morning exercises, and various events could help students regulate their emotions. Let’s School is a game of management, strategy, and decision-making, where every choice you make has far-reaching consequences!

It would be nice if you put a lot of windows in the indoor garden, so the students could see it from inside! Also, there will be no more classrooms? The school have so many cool sporty things, but almos no classes to use it.
Thanks again for the amazing video Penge!

    Definitely still enjoying the series.
Did the upstairs level get robotic cleaners? I feel like they get forgotten a lot, lol. They deserve robots running around on the floor, too.
I really love the courtyard of statues. It turned out very nice.

You're absolutely right, I entirely forgot about the second floor! I forgot about quite a few things to be fair, I'd best resolve a few bits and bobs at the start of the next video...

That was great, Penge. I love the giant statues from all the different disciplines, but I think the Sports one should go over to your sports complex on the other side of the campus. That way it looks like it is hosting the Olympics and if/when you add the Dorms as one of the areas asked for, it will be like its own Olympic village. The fleet of Roombas were very impressive and I look forward to the arcade that hopefully drives traffic to the supermarket. 🛒🎮

Hey Penge, great series, really enjoying it. Love that there are Robort Vacs. We have one called Kryten the Duck. He is a joy to have.
Could you possibly put in more things for the cats? There are alot of cats now and i feel there could be more feeding bowls ect for them.

Our robot vac is called Groovy! Very useful to clean up around the kitchen and kid's playroom.
Good point about the cats, we'll throw in a few more things for them!

I wonder if the arcade thing gonna need a lot of space and money.
Maybe the underpass thing you currently research can make people move faster from middle area to the advanced statue, it takes a long way to walk

You're past self must have heard me say that the art statue reminded me of the Sydney Opera House, you literally said it on video about 5 seconds after I said exactly that to myself (I only talk to intelligent people and cats at home 🤣).

I talk to myself all the time, more so when I'm cooking for an unknown reason! I think in my brain I like to pretend I'm on a cooking show of some kind.

@@TheGeekCupboard Hehe, I play music and sing and dance around the house when I'm cooking, although that definitely doesn't explain why my cooking is less than professional standard. 😂

    Hello
do you think it's time to have more students?
you have everything (or almost everything) for sporty students. I think it would bring more life into the school, you could see more space and rooms being used. Right now, I have the impression that your school is pretty empty and that your rooms aren't used much, and I find that a bit sad :(

Wasn't that a fun time?! All the advances and decorating and figuring out how to get all of those HUGE statues in the rather small plot of land... plus getting people to go to the new store. But best of all... robot vacuum. I used to have one and it did such a good job... until it just wore out (poor thing) from trying to vacuum the dog hair. I must admit, I always loved the robot vacuums in the Sims... they would go out and vacuum the whole yard as well as inside the house.
Just for clarification... "Minute Maid" is a brand of juice here. It looks like it was spelled "Minute Made" in the game, but I'm guessing, because it's juice, that it's emulating that brand. The various juice flavours come either ready-made in juice boxes or in a frozen "can" that you then mix into water. They're actually not bad tasting.

It might be worth doing a rearrangement put all the offices on the far side and the arcade and super market by the classes or move the auditorium

My "best robotic vacuum story" is from the first time I saw one "up close and personal" in someone's house. We were there for a photo session of the family and their dogs and horses and they weren't quite ready. We were sitting in the living room waiting when this little robot vacuum came pootling through. It went under the coffee table in front of me and I was watching it curiously because I'd never seen one. It had a little screen on top and when it got stuck against the coffee table leg and couldn't back up, the little screen suddenly had a message on it. It read "I'm stuck. Help me." The message kept scrolling across the screen until I gently moved it away from the table leg. Then off it went to happily finish vacuuming the room.
