As a Seahawks fan, what I find frustrating is that all the potential that appeared to be there in 2022 is gone. That year we nailed it in the draft. Woolen, Walker, Cross and Lucas all had big rookie seasons and because of that we made the playoffs when no one expected us to. So the assumption was that with these core players improving and developing the team will be even better. Here we are two years later and that season seems like a fluke. Those players have not blossomed into the stars they appeared they would be and have mostly regressed. The O-line looked to be set for years but instead we're back to having our QB running for his life the second the ball is snapped. It looked like we had won the Russell Wilson trade but this year Denver is going to the playoffs and so is Wilson on another team and we're likely not. What looked like the start of a new era ended up being an early peak and now we're stuck in the worse sort of purgatory where you're on the playoff bubble, not good enough to go anywhere in the playoffs but not bad enough to get a decent draft pick. At least JSN is looking good.

The negative talk about DK has been going on for several years here in Washington. Whereas Belichick was known for letting guys a year too early rather than a year too late, the Seahawks seem to be at the farthest opposite end of the spectrum and cling to people way too long.
As a seahawks fan there is moments where Geno looks like the best QB in the league with some of the throws he makes, but his decision making in the second half is terrible. He is good for at least one second half INT every game, and it's to over come that regularly.
Call me old-school but if you're gonna build a team around "that one guy" who you anoint as "the face of the franchise," you've pretty much relegated yourself and your team to the fortunes of "one guy." This is also why it is ridiculous to hold QBs to such an elevated status -- the with $ that goes with it -- because it makes it nearly impossible to navigate through the team's ecosystem without it affecting its ability to invest in players _in other positions_ who will move the ball, score points, and protect the QB. How can Geno ever be "THE guy" when he's playing behind such a porous offensive front? It limits play design when you can't trust that an O line will hold up in pass pro, yet despite that, Geno is putting up gawdy numbers. HIS problem is the inexplicable interceptions, most of which admit of no situational awareness in the moment. But you gotta ask, if you're being honest with yourself, how much of that is Geno's "ceiling" and how much of it is lack of confidence in his linemen to hold up longer than 1.5 seconds in pass pro. If Geno has regressed, the only difference I see between his first two years at the helm and this year is who's coaching him. O line has been a problem for years, that's a given; but for the most part Geno has the same weapons around him that he had last year and yet he throws the ball up for grabs at the most inopportune times. Why? The only difference I'm seeing is who is coaching him -- an OC who is a rookie at the NFL level, + a new QB coach. A lot needs to be fixed on offense in Seattle and it's unfortunate that it needs to be re-tooled at this particular moment in Geno's career -- because it puts him AND the organization in a pickle as far as looking ahead to the future. I think a lot of problems get solved in short order if Jodie holds John Schneider's feet to the fire and MAKES him invest in the _offensive line,_ for once in his career. He's got talent at every level _except_ the O line, which has been a continual work in progress for the past 10 years, with no continuity and no innate standout talent that provides for DEPTH on the line. Fix that, and you start to fix _most_ of the problems Seattle has on offense.
Seahawks would be 11-5 right now if the offense would have figured it out. Charbonett is the future RB along with McIntosh. A new QB needs to be apart of the identity along with building a stronger defense and o-line. DK is a great natural talent but unstable as a leader.
Grubb so far hasn't shown any ability to figure anything out, would not bring back. While I agree it's not necessary to pay or even necessarily keep K9, I'd rather not have Charb as RB1 the whole season, he's decent but nothing special. Dk does not have the focus, route running, or the hands to be fed as a dominant WR1, I'd rather spend those resources elsewhere and just get a cheaper burner to stretch the field/play decoy if that's basically most of what he's doing at this point. Jay Harbaugh, I mean if his ceiling is just bare minimum not turning the ball over on ST compared to the s' show it was for most of the year, don't need him back either. We need a much better base team before/more than we need to pay Geno a bunch to keep us a mediocre fringe playoff team so that JS can keep his job longer. There are a lot of ways to replenish the 0 cap space they have next year and also not waste it on guys who as said on Rob's channel, “aren't the problem”, we need players who are the solution to problems.

Scoring points is their problem against every good team they faced, I do not consider the Rams or Cards good teams most of the time either. And now they can't reach 10 points against a bad defense that has averaged 30 points a game for a month. They are a mediocre 7-10 team that had an easy schedule in a league where a third of the teams are worse than 7-10, and they beat most of the weak teams. They lost to Jones and the Giants, 1 play they would have lost to the Bears, and beat the mediocre Cards twice are their low and high of the season, not very impressive. I don't know about the Rams, they just scored 12 and 19 points against 2 below 500 teams with less than 300 yards passing in the 2 games. Actually, an NFL team is a decent investment and getting half the league money and then some is a revenue stream for a charity.
