I just got into watching futbol this past year because my older brother lives in Barcelona so I naturally gravitated towards them. I’ve been missing out all these years on this beautiful game. A few months after the publishing of this video I can say that for me Félix is not worth an expensive transfer given the financial situation of the club and the inconsistency of the player, it might be interesting to repeat the same formula next season perhaps

One thing to point out is the real possibility that Joao extended his contract to spread amortisation and included a private clause for a Barcelona buyout totalling to his remaining amortisation for Atleti ie. around 60-70 mil. A regular buy option could not be included in his contract because that counts against FFP in La Liga and Barcelona don't have the margin. This is what is being leaked regarding Cancelo's contract and Jorge Mendes is a smart guy, he wouldn't have extended Joao without a way out. If he plays well Barca can get Felix for around 70 mil. This is clause is similar to how Dembele managed to leave this season too.

Laporta is a Felix fanboy and he made it clear from day one. Now if you top that with Felix killing it in La Liga with Barca and winning over the Cules, Laporta will do everything in his power to sign Felix. Also, no matter how Fati performs with Brighton this season, he will be sold next summer for sure. Its more than clear that he is not the calibre of player to play for Barca.
Btw, Felix extended his contract just to reduce his amortization fee that Atleti has to pay Benfica (they are still due 57.8 million euros). This was Atleti's condition for the loan since Barca refused to pay a loan fee.

I wouldn’t say that, the video was just made immediately after both 5-0 wins so everything was looking up for him…. Now I’m not a big fan of him at all but that doesn’t mean this video is wrong necessarily.

I don't get it. Felix does absolutely nothing good on the pitch. He misplaces passes, misses easy chances, fails to dribble past one defender mostly. But he never gets criticized. Meanwhile Raphinha is criticized everytime he loses a ball and Ferran is hated everytime he misses a chance? I mean they are much better passers and dribblers than Felix is. I like the guy, but I've been a Barca fan for many years now and honestly we've NEVER had a player this overhyped. Even Messi and Neymar were criticized from time to time besides them dropping banger performances almost every week. But I don't get it with Felix, he only had two full good games this season, (vs Antwerpen and Atletico), most of the times he is simply just another player who does nothing. I mean it's not only his problem, almost entire team plays that way this season, but Felix is the ONLY Barca player that never gets criticized for poor performances
So he needs to succeed Felix cuz once his loan deal is done he wants a permanent deal to another club that wants him and be a superstar
