this is old lion. Watch his younger days. This is what we enjoyed in Pakistan. Every ball was an anticipation of something happening. It was a pleasure to watch waqar and Waseem bowling from each end. And before that Imran and Sarfraz . Every ball building up as they would start their run. Nothing like that watching it in the tv lounge of UET. Nothing compares. And then when shoab came wow the magic continued. And that magician called Asif. Can’t explain. Just pure pleasure. You can hear the roars here as well as waqar is running in to ball
@@silicotron Love Dale steyn as well. Wonderful strike bowler. But we must consider his field support and especially the kind of pitches he mostly played on. Plus when I say the best strike bowler of all time, I also consider ODIs, in which Waqar was far better. Highest number of 5 wicket and 4 wickets hauls in history is the hallmark.
Waqar was an incredible bowler. This spell shows his pace and accuracy as well as consistency. There are other spells even towards the end of his career when you can see him swing both ways and bowl yorkers. He retired at the start of 2003. In 2002 he was the highest wicket taker from Pakistan in ODIs and second in the world by merely 1,2 wickets
He was good till 2003 world cup unfortunately due to his injuries he lost his pace. Waqar was dropped after 2003 world cup and soon after he announced retired.
7 Overs on the trot ...?? He bolwed first and he was bowling 13th as well 😍😍 This is fitness, this is fast bowler stamina, that accuracy, that's speed. Mind you, at this time, he wasn't even at his peak. This is from one of his last years. What a talent.
The highlight of this video is NOT he can bowl 85+ MPH regularly at the end of this career (which ended in less than 2 years after this match). BUT Rather, how many fast bowlers in the world, even at their peak, could have bowled 7 over on trot. 10 Over, 2 Maiden, 20 Runs, 2 Wickets!
@@silicotron You are wrong. In the early nineties he regularly crossed 90 miles mark. Furthermore, he was the fastest one among the early nineties. It 1993 his delivery was recorded at 95 mph. He fastest recorded one. By this time he had lost a bit of speed by an injury. So you can imagine.
Chasing 240 against these bowlers was like chasing 400 and now we have bowlers who concede 350 in odis and 600 in tests like pancakes on a Sunday morning..
Waqar was great but it was hard to see his downfall near the end of his career it was like as if he forgot how to ball! But when he was in his prime he was great!
Imagine all the fast bowlers got the swinging conditions like england, how many wickets would had been taken by this legends waqar, wasim, imran, kapil, srinath, vaas, zaheer khan. All asian bowlers would have been all time wicker lists. So botham, willis, anderson, broad records were over hyped.
Ajkal Pakistan ka koi bowler 1-2 over ase krty ha to wahh wahh hojati ha or ye Waseem Waqar wale 8-8 over ase bowling krty ha. what a low standard we have set in modern cricket

Waqar had bowled terrific spells at Lords on both 92 and 96 tours.
The best strike bowler of all time !!!

A strike bowler with a great mindset who didn't care much about containing and he had the talent and skills to back himself.
And this was almost at the end of his career bowling at 89 mph
This guy was exceptionally good.. All time great

He is giving 80% to avoid further injuries. But still pass 90mph.
Wonder what his speeds were at his peak.
@@shafaatmosviwaqar from 1989-1992 consistently bowled all deliveries above 150kph before his injury in 1992 world cup

Waqar consistentlt bowled 150+ till 1993
This is tail end of Waqar's career, not his peak. His peak he was bowling 155+ regulary
Agree. He was his quickest best in early 90s and late 80s.

Waqar was past his peak here. But still bowling with full energy. Jumee Shaheen lazy 2 over bowler - bowls already like a grandma.
😂😂😂😂
exactly
Wasim and waqar together never lost test series in England, india, Srilanka, newzealand, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
Great bowling and have to say the late play with the bat to protect the stumps was also great to watch. Await was just a pleasure to watch❤
End Of His Career With All Those Injuries. Damn He Was The Most Lethal Bowler Ever Till He Was 24. No One Is Not Even Close
Till 1992 waqar was most lethal 150+kph consistently
Look at his line♥️
A true ATG Legend.
Always a delight watching Waqar steaming in as an England fan.
Maybe not when he was terrorising the English batters.😂.
The GOAT in my mind
this series was the last of waqars peak in his cricketing career.
Don't forget to notice the terrific fielding by Pakistani team, they had 3 runouts in this video alone.
3 run outs amazing
And now we have to watch 2 spinners opening the bowling in a test match for Pakistan
He was lethaaaaaaaaaalllll no one can be like him in no era
He was a treat to watch
He is bowling at 87mph in 2001.😮
After double back injury
Waqar's peak was from 1989-1996. 1989-1991 waqar pre 1992 world cup consistently bowled over 150kph
The line and length 🔥🔥❤
Chasing 240 against these bowlers was like chasing 400 and now we have bowlers who concede 350 in odis and 600 in tests like pancakes on a Sunday morning..
i think notice waqer can bowl quick for 2-3 overs after that he slower than medium pacers.
He was still bowling at 88mph in his 9th over of this match. That's decent heat.
immaculate...
He was a good fast bowler 👏
Such a shame he was injured for the world cup where Pakistan won. Would have been fitting to see him and Wasim together.
Almost every ball is replay worthy
Bhai kya line kar rahe Waqar bhai...wo bhi 136 - 140 ki speed pe...
Waqar was great but it was hard to see his downfall near the end of his career it was like as if he forgot how to ball! But when he was in his prime he was great!
Old Waqar used to bowl at 145 km/h, but young Shaheen bowls at 135 km/h and people consider him a star😂😂😂
😂😂
Waqar pree 1992 injury bowled over 150
Waqar best
Its the line and length for me. Bowling wicket to wicket within line
He was bowling @90 mph as well.
Waqar was not on his peack this time, his prime was 1990 to 1994/5
Waseem akram said
Yes but before 1992 waqar consistently bowled above 150kph
alot for youngsers to learn
GOAT
It amazes me when I hear people calling Haris Rauf a good pace bowler.
