Can this machine be used to cut and condition alfalfa for baling dry?

Yes, it is possible to work with the BiG M 450 in alfalfa. For this case you need the BiG with roller conditioner (steel- / rubber-rollers). This is especially for leafy crops. So you get the right dry matter very quick without any crop looses. This is how the roller conditioner works:
