It's great when you can replace 3 machines with 1 machine which reduces staff needs for that job which can be reallocated elsewhere, plus it reduces fuel, maintenance costs. However, there is still that possibility that if you only have 1 machine and it breaks down, your hay mowing stops completely whereas with 3 machines, you are only down 1/3.
the customers of BigM's dont run 3 mowers, 3 tractors and 3 guys though. They're typically already running a triple mower setup on a tractor (here in europe as we dont swathing like that afaik). Yeah this machine can only do one thing but if you have massive acres to mow pr year and maybe you have long season you probably had a tractor already "locked" all season to the mowing, now you have that tractor available. and this is more comfortable, more oversight, more fuel efficient and agile with rear wheel steer. And costwise a 350hp tractor with same triple mowers as these with conveyor on the back would be around the same for one of these BigM's. initially i thought it was just mental to have one expensive kit like this to do only one job but for many this makes alot of sense
