Leanne Ik there are many jobs that take hours and hours a day to do and everything but seriously TH-cam is one of the hardest jobs and you have to be the most dedicated to do especially the types of videos that jazzy does ,,,, btw I’d you see this Ilysm !!! ❤️💖
I love Jaz anytime im having a bad day she always makes me laugh even on bad days and when she said that and the part when she lost her hairbrush i just lost it ive had a good day all ready and she made it even better i lover her soooo much im so glad i found her youtube channel
calla lalla it's a song from "the veggie tales" which is a kids show with animated vegetables (as you would think, lol) it's really quite funny and if you get the chance you should look it up here on the youtubes. Just be warned, it may get stuck in you head, lol.
When I had really long hair, I cut my hair like that too. I think it looks fine. I feel like people with long hair can get away with it since your hair is still pretty long. If you did like a bob it would be way more noticeable if it wasn’t perfectly even. Love your hair!!!
I've been cutting my own hair for the last 10 years, I'm not a hairdresser and only needed a hairdresser to fix a bad hair cut once, the true test of what it looks like is when it's dry, I think it's all trail and error as to what technique works for you and what end result you are going for
52 year old "not a hairdresser" here. I've been cutting, and coloring, my own hair since I was 15. My poor hair has suffered the short, uneven bangs, the peroxide-laden Sun-In spray, and at the very least a few thousand bucks worth of box color. It takes practice, patience, and a lot of tears, to cut your own hair.
i’m a hair stylist and i found this video great 😂 not gonna lie i was lowkey panicking for you in the beginning just due to how much you wanted to take off, but honestly the end result didn’t turn out that bad!! you did all the right steps really, most people when they cut their own hair don’t wet it and they also don’t use a comb. i also liked how you sectioned it off at some points, it’s way better to take smaller sections, gives you more control! but really you didn’t do a bad job, got a V shape in the back for suuure but that’s just since you pulled it all forward, still looks fine though! and honestly when i had first started cosmo school (so when i should have known better) i cut my hair myself.. at home.. nearly this same exact way but i used kitchen scissors because we weren’t allowed to have our shears yet 😂 sooo even us stylists aren’t perfect 😂
I cut my hair at home all the time and I think it looks decent but I've been doing it for years But the first time I cut my hair I researched it all, and then I used... Fabric scissors cause my sears didn't come in the mail in time...
Raya Xx To be honest, I’m not very good at it myself. But I will say make sure you’re using a heat protectant and keep the heat as low as you can while practicing. Sorry I’m not more help😔
Also a hairdresser. Don't wrap it like that. Put the hair in like normal but more angled then straight across (so your straightener is angled up the strand just a little). Rotate the straightener 45-90 degrees so your hair wraps around the outside then goes in. Keep moving. You need continuos motions to get smooth curls. And lower heat if you can. Heat doesn't make the curl, cooling in a shape does.
Raya Xx practise the turning technique with the straightener cold! It takes a bit of practise but once you get that down pat your curls will be perfect when you do it with it hot. Also it’s harder to do straightener curls on your own hair if it’s short so keep that in mind.
Hi Jasmine! I’m a hairdresser and I would recommend that you keep the comb down instead of moving towards your face when you cut it! I also recommend that you point cut the ends a little to make it blend better. You did a great job! 💁🏼♀️
I haven’t been to a hairdresser in years. I keep my own hair cut. I don’t use the comb technique like jazzy did. But I do use hair ties. They work easier for me. I enjoyed watching this because I’ve had that same reaction the first time I did it. But now I see it as, it grows back. Love watching her stuff during quarantine! ❤️
I’ve shaved my head and then grown it out to my butt 4 times between 2000 and now. I love having a shaved head so much and I’m about halfway through growing it out again. I can’t wait til it’s long enough to shave it again.
nina I had my hair until my feet but I was bored in the shower so I Cut it until my shoulder I feel so weird but I love it and I put it in a bun so my parents can’t see it if they do my phone will be gone until 2 years I know that bc I asked them before but I will move next year so I hope 🤞🏻 they never know I have this wig I bought I think I will wear it sometimes
The only time I cut my own hair was when I was 4 and I chopped a good couple inches off the one side of my hair and gave myself 'bangs'. I also cut my cats hair too. Apparently he asked me to. (I thought I could talk to animals when I was little) 😂😅
OMG yall dont even realize how much i love Jaz she just genuinely makes me so happy and always makes me laugh i hope that one day i can meet her I love you Jazzy❤❤❤❤
I’m a hairdresser! The problem with bringing your hair forward is it makes the back longer the the front! So if you loom at the back all together it has a u shaped not a straight line. It was hard to watch but I’ve seen much worse on TH-cam. At least it looks okayish! Im sure with everything going we will most likely see more of this! Great videos btw! Hi from Canada 🇨🇦
i cut my own bangs about a month ago and everyone loved it. my friend made a petition and got half my year to sign so she could cut my hair more and it’s been so good and i don’t think i’ll ever let it grow out, i love it 🥰
I’m a hairdressers daughter and it looks decent for someone who isn’t a hairdresser I hope you read this and if you do please chip into it because it gives me the fears by chipping into it your making sure that the cut line isn’t so obvious watch a video of how to chip in
I’m ambidextrous, so I’ve always been able to do everything with both hands equally. Well, everything but write because my first grade teacher made me chose which hand I wanted to write with permanently as it wasn’t fair to the other students that when my hand got tired from writing, I could just switch hands. That was back in the ‘80s. If it was today, teachers would be applauding my ability and encouraging me to use and perfect my talent.
I'm a lefty but I can only use scissors with my right hand because that's how I was made to do it in primary due to them only having right handed scissors.
I'm not a hairdresser, but I think u did great job.I myself try to cut my own hair and I know this is tough to accomplish.Your hair looks good if front and back. Big hugs from Poland 🇵🇱
I’ve been cutting and coloring my own hair for over 8 years, I put layers in, frame my face, and cut my bangs. It looks really good, I always get compliments and asked what salon I use. It was hard at first but I’ve learned a lot of tricks that help.
I found that quite entertaining to watch as someone who used to cut their own hair all the time. Completely untrained, no experience, no knowledge, didnt follow any instructions. Literally just picked up any blunt ass scissors I could find around my house and used the vague melody of techniques I saw hairdressers use on me....it was never great but I never felt like it looked awful either. Just used to cut and dye my hair at home and if I didnt like it,oh well it's only hair😂
I think you did a really good job for never cutting your own hair before. You did a REALLY good job at doing SMALL fixes at the end to even it up the best you can and from the back it looked really good!! I was happy to see you didn't cut yourself with those scissors. Don't use them on anything but hair and they'll stay that sharp for a very long time! My son is TERRIFIED of getting his hair cut so I had to learn to cut his hair with zero experience. It takes time and practice! I also had a friend chop all her hair off in anger and then come to me to fix it. Having the attitude of "I can do this" really helps in times of anxiety with hair cutting.

Hey jazzy!! Next time you want to cut your hair tie it up in a pony tail, bring the pony tail over your head so it sits in front of your face pull it out straight and just snip straight across the end. The higher you tie the pony tail the more layers you'll get the lower back the straighter it will go. I do this all the time to cut my slipt ends off. I always start with 1cm at a time never more take it out see how it looks then tie it up and repeat till I'm happy! Could also try this to tidy up the end and even them out now as well if you were unhappy :) personally think you did a really good job 😊
Have confidence, you can do anything if you put your mind to it !! Your a strong, smart young lady !! And it's only hair 🤣🤣🤣 it will always grow back !! I've cut my own hair for years, you can do this !!!
My stepfather, who's a doctor, not a hairdresser by any means, has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years! He just cuts it straight with a hair clipper because I refuse to pay so much for something he does in 10 minutes, free of charge. You could try getting your bf to help you out with this method!
@@therandomgirl5590 lol Jazz is British. You are now on British turf, where no-one says vacuum and everyone, repeat *everyone* says hoover. Or a very high percentage of Brits do
i curl my hair with my straighteners like that and the trick is to not clamp down too hard and then you'll be able to slide the straighteners down! and also not going all the way to the ends of your hair makes it look a look more 'natural' i find xx
I cut my own hair in December and also cut a fringe ,the fringe came out ok but the back was uneven so I decided to go to a new hairdressers, in the end they levelled up the back but made my fringe a whole different style(bowl cut ) and I went home and cried. I’m too much of an anxious and shy person to say something but definitely not going back there
My hair goes down to my thighs. I actually sit on it if I don't have it up in a bun. I cut it myself all the time. I use the comb as you did, but then I switch over to holding the hair between my fingers (as a hairdresser does) and cutting it there. The hair doesn't shift as much as it can do when you only use the comb. After cutting my hair as you did, i comb it trough down my back and gather it loosly with my fingers from the sides and towards the middle (from both sides at the same time). When I have all the hair collected into the grip between the fingers of _one_ hand, I pull it under my arm and to the front so I can see what I am doing and then just evening out the middle if it isn't even .
I just recently learned that the first hack is the Kaylee Melissa's hair hack that she created a few years ago Also I was terrified for you when the vacuum was sucking in your hair!
Hi! I know for this video you wanted to try TikTok tutorials specifically, but if you want a super easy way to cut your hair neatly and straight in just a few seconds, just make a normal ponytail (so hair back, so no middle parting), then slide your hair elastic down to where you want to cut, flip your ponytail over your head to the front and cut right below the hair elastic. Perfect result every time. I always cut my hair like that. (I usually keep my hair around fingertip length, but sometimes it's longer, around knee length and sometimes shorter, around classic length. ) Give it a go, it's very easy and quick. 👍
I cut my own hair short followed a brad mondo video and it came out perfect when I was done then i dyed it blue and I'm in love with my new hair amazing
I’m very happy that jazzy makes videos she makes me so happy when I’m having a bad day I just come to her channel watch her. Thank you so much for making my days better jazzy
I haven't tried this "curling hack" since I haven't curled my hair since before it was a thing. But I also only curl my hair with my straightener. I just put it in and twist it forwards or backwards almost parallel to my head and pull the straightener down the length of my hear. I somehow also manage to avoid the weird line a ton of others seem to get. My sister is so great at curling hers with a curling iron and I'm the complete opposite able to curl mine with my straightener. Curling irons just don't like me or my super long thick hair! Lol
I also have really long hair. I have been cutting it myself for over 4 years now because of the bad experices I've had at hair dressers. But you're hair looks perfect to me.
I haven't fully cut my hair during the quarantine but I have trimmed it. My kids say it didn't look bad but they refuse to let me do theirs. I think you did a great job, end result looks great!

Hairdresser here I really just wanted to climb through the screen less hair at a time and do not lift it like that
Have confidence, you can do anything if you put your mind to it !! Your a strong, smart young lady !! And it's only hair 🤣🤣🤣 it will always grow back !! I've cut my own hair for years, you can do this !!!
It really looks fine !
I love watching these!!!! Thank you for bringing a smile to everyone's face at a time like this. Your awesome
*You're
My stepfather, who's a doctor, not a hairdresser by any means, has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years! He just cuts it straight with a hair clipper because I refuse to pay so much for something he does in 10 minutes, free of charge. You could try getting your bf to help you out with this method!
The hoover made that noise because it wasn’t able to suck anymore as your hair was causing the blockage that’s all
melly joy who calls a vacuum a Hoover?! Lmao
The Random Girl people in Britain and some other places. I live in Britain and I call it that
Btw I’m not trying to be mean
@@therandomgirl5590 lol Jazz is British. You are now on British turf, where no-one says vacuum and everyone, repeat *everyone* says hoover. Or a very high percentage of Brits do
Lizzie Hollick oh, lol
i curl my hair with my straighteners like that and the trick is to not clamp down too hard and then you'll be able to slide the straighteners down! and also not going all the way to the ends of your hair makes it look a look more 'natural' i find xx
I love your hair and makeup and outfits, always! :) I also love the background of your videos!
I counted how many times you said “Oh no” The Total is: 14 (not to bad🙈)
Lol Love you Jasmin❤️🤗
I’m not a hairdresser I’ve got really bad anxiety so I don’t like going to the hairdresser so I cut mine just like how you cut yours x
I cut my own hair in December and also cut a fringe ,the fringe came out ok but the back was uneven so I decided to go to a new hairdressers, in the end they levelled up the back but made my fringe a whole different style(bowl cut ) and I went home and cried. I’m too much of an anxious and shy person to say something but definitely not going back there
This is how many times jazzy said "oh no"
My hair goes down to my thighs.
Oh my goodness-I’m sitting here literally laughing out loud when you were “Hoovering” your hair! Thanks so much! I so needed that! ❤️🤣❤️🤣❤️🤣
Happy Jazzy Day Everyone!!!💜💜💜
“I don’t remember doing this piece” 💇♀️ 😂
Who else thinks jazzy is so pretty and brave 💖💕💓💗❤
You are adorable! Your hair looks amazing. You are so brave for doing it yourself. ❤️👏
I litterly gasped within 2 seconds of watching this! Your brave ♥️
I just recently learned that the first hack is the Kaylee Melissa's hair hack that she created a few years ago
Also I was terrified for you when the vacuum was sucking in your hair!
I was waiting at 5:52 into the video for you to say, "Mistakes have been made!" lmao ❤🤣
Your hair looks really good! (For a non hairdresser) love you Jazzy 💜❤️💙💛💗
This video made my day ❤️ I am also too scared to go out 😂 but we will just have to wait 🙈 love you by the way ❤️ from South Africa 🇿🇦
Atleast we're not to bad yet. Just waiting on the president to give us the plan of action now.
@@ertjiesb4158 apparently it's happening tomorrow only 🙈 so yeah we must just wait
@@godessatwar I also just heard that! Been waiting for like 2 hours. Sterkte!
I cut my own hair short followed a brad mondo video and it came out perfect when I was done then i dyed it blue and I'm in love with my new hair amazing
I've cut my own hair before, and nobody really noticed😂
that's awesome! I don't think I would ever be brave enough, but I do have curly/wavy hair, so not sure if that would be easier or harder? lol
@@PK-kp1ys definitely Harder, trust me.
I'm a hairdresser and I loved this 😂😂 you always make everything better 😂😂
*10:20** this is what girls does when they're bored specially right now at the quarantine lol*
I’m very happy that jazzy makes videos she makes me so happy when I’m having a bad day I just come to her channel watch her. Thank you so much for making my days better jazzy
So I only curl my hair with a straightener. And that hack doesn’t work for me and it breaks my hair
Lol
In Quarantine:
Everyone: Don't cut your own hair!
Jazzy: I'm going to cut my own hair!!
Also Jazzy: Oooh... I've made a mistake.
😂😂😂 Love ya, girl! ❤
This gave me flashbacks to the one time she cut her hair like this
oH mAn hOly sHit same
I also have really long hair.
