- Last night, Luke Littler’s fairytale run at Alexandra Palace came to a disappointing end when he missed out on becoming the youngest-ever World Darts Champion. The 16-year-old produced more of the spectacular darts that he's become known for - but ended up just losing out to the World Number One, Luke Humphries. We're reflecting on his spectacular performance with darts legend Bobby George AKA 'The King of Bling' and Phil 'The Power' Taylor.

He didn't miss out on anything! He still has multiple opportunities to become the youngest before reaching the age of 24. At 16 he has achieved way more than anyone expected by reaching the final of the Worlds and playing an incredible match against Luke Humphries who capped off his best season ever by deservedly winning his 1st World title.
Luke Littler is now the one to watch. I can't wait to see him in February in the Premier League. I think we are just scratching the surface of what this young man is capable of. Perhaps the Ronnie O'Sullivan of darts? I certainly think so.
Credit should be given to Luke Humphries. He has had an incredible year and all the media talks about is Littler
The reason being Luke littler has attracted so many people to watch darts who wouldn’t usually watch it because the kid is 16, it’s all about money and the PDC and the media have pound signs in their eyes

I 100% agree with you! Ok given all the attention has been on Littler (and quite rightly so) but come on, at the end of a final the media should be focusing on the winner, not the runner-up!

I honestly don’t think Luke Humphries is feeling insulted by this. He will know Littler was getting the media attention from the beginning and knows what the media is all about, so I don’t think he will feel insulted. Why are some feeling insulted for him then?

Luke Littler still has a chance of winning the world title before he turnd 24, the age at which MVG captured it. Going by the high quality darts he displayed in this tournament, the title is within his grasp.

“You’ve been dubbed as one of the greatest players of all time”, she didn’t do her homework at all did she, what an insult that must be, he is the greatest.
Littler certainly had his chance to go 5-2 up but was getting little reward I thought going over to double 8 and 16 on the left of the board. He had been unstoppable on tops and tens in previous rounds. He certainly knows what it's like to be subjected to sustained brilliance now though, his previous opponents were only at top form now and again and paid for it. I thought Luke Humphreys couldn't have played better in his semi's and the final and no one would have stopped him. Even if Littler had gone 5-2 up I reckon it would have still gone tight at the end. Littler has a superb attitude and will be a major player in everything he enters, he didn't play his best last night sadly and still got over a hundred average. It will be interesting how he comes on over the next 5 years, he could certainly dominate like Phil did.

A great talent who handled the pressure so well but I just hope he doesn’t end up like Kirk Shephard did after reaching the final at his young age and he couldn’t handle the aftermath of his new found fame. Hopefully he gets a good management team behind him and look after the kid.
