So I’m new to alcohol inks and am binge watching so I can learn before I use my expensive paper. But in this technique, is the ink food safe? Do you need to seal it with something? I’m really tempted to do this on a wine glass!
Hi DeAnna! You can absolutely do this to a wine glass! To be safe, the ink needs to be done on the outside of the glass and kept away from the drinking part (where your lips touch the glass). It can be sealed with a spray acrylic sealer, but it isn't necessary. Anything you do this technique on can be hand-washed with mild soap, but no dishwasher. I hope that helps answer some of your questions and pushes you onward to using your expensive paper. You can always buy more paper if things don't turn out the way you envision. (I had to learn that lesson the hard way.)
