- A Documentary I made for my university dissertation about Shrovetide Football- the ancient game of the up'ards v down'ards played in the streets of Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

Great film! I've holidayed in Ashbourne a few times and was never aware of the football game.
There is no other game quite like it, I am new to the area and have been swept along with the passion and emotion of it all.

Can’t quite believe it’s taken me 8 years to reply! I filmed this for my university dissertation, the equipment we used didn’t have the widescreen ability, we were in 2011 using cameras probably older than I was! I filmed on TAPE and had to digitalise in the studio in production (that took a very long time). I imagine the students on the same course now film on phones…!
