Yeah, I completely understand feeling disappointed that friends or family don't love the dress as much as you do, but you can express that disappointment without getting nasty and defensive like this. I wonder if the producers encouraged her to act bratty, that seemed to be this episode's "angle" from the start. They always try to have some kind of plot for the show, like "mom wants a conservative dress with sleeves and bride wants sexy, let's watch them duke it out", or "bride is insecure about figure after having children, let's watch the consultant bring up her weight gain over and over until she starts crying, quick, zoom in on those tears!" Obviously they instructed the consultant here to keep bringing up the fact that the friend didn't like the bride's pick, this isn't how most non-televised appointments would go.

Her friend knows she has an issue with her own breast size. Her friend used the words "lack of" when referring to her breasts. She said she hates the dress because it draws her eye to "that chest area" when in fact that dress looked lovely on her. The bride does not like feeling demeaned and humiliated and by the way a true friend would never keep on pushing that button, knowing how it makes her feel. IKR, I had such a fun time shopping for my wedding dress with my mom and friends and the all had a different opinion in what they wanted to see me in. For fun I tried on some of their picks and I just simply said “ the dress is beautiful but I just don’t feel comfortable in it, it’s not for me.” And that it. I wasn’t mad or passive aggressive at all we were all laughing and drinking champagne and in the end I picked the dress I wanted. I think that the friend was right in her assessment of a suitable dress in every way. *Emma's shoulders and upper chest are pretty. The strapless dress lifted her breasts a little, giving more fullness and softness to her upper chest. By comparison, the dress that sh chose broke the line of her shoulders, and emphasised the area between her breasts, rather than the breasts themselves. *The lace of the skirt added substance to her tummy and hips, which was good. The dress that she liked was slinky over the thinnest part f her body and emphasised the pubic bone, which is not really the best look for a bride. *The little belt with a central bit of bling created a suggestion that her waist was considerably slimmer than her hips and ribs, which in fact, it was not. The lack of defined waistline in the dress that she chose did nothing that added curves, and nothing to enhance thsoe most attractive parts of her body. > I would not usually be so damning of a persons' choice... but this woman was extremely rude to her friend, and was not polite to the staff, either.

I thought first dress looked good on her, and gave her some definition in her bust, you could see she wasnt flat chested at all in it, but she just was uncomfortable with the whole exposure thing, which I understand, maybe not having cleavage? (Or modest??) She didn't seem very body confident generally, esp. for a skinny person... (I don't know if that's what set her off or there was some other rivalry going on beneath the surface, but she was fuming!) No joke as a fat girl it was a real eye opener to see the sincere insecurity over her frame. She is gorgeous, beautiful, and in my eyes could pull it all off. I feel like all women struggle. Curvy girl wanna be skinnier or have parts of tgeir body be smaller and skinny girls want curves. I've always had a pear shape with a small top and wide hips and i used to be told my legs a fat and hates it for so long. I wanted skinny legs and no clothes were ever propperly made for my body time. Ive learnt to like it now but its hard. I am a skinny girl and trust me we are probably more insecure about our figures more than u would know. Unlike the bride in the video I have curves but that won't stop me from hating what I see in the mirror even if in other people's eyes they don't see the flaws i do. And honesty it's not just fat or chubby people that get negative feedback about their bodies I have had so many people ask me if I am trying to get anorexia or people telling me I should eat more so THEY would find me attractive becasue now alot of people like larger women and I have had people just say the worst possible things straight to my face. But that's life and u can't change it

@@themaggieme @2:34, @3:35 and @5:16 the "friend" kept making remarks about her chest (or lack thereof as she put it) over and over again and while it may seem to be out of concern, I can clearly see how she was subtly poking that insecurity she knew the bride had.. you can see in the video even the Consultant picked up on it. I won't be surprised if they have a strained relationship from before this event. Also, the dress the bride chose looked absolutely amazing on her, it fit her so perfectly and when the friend said she hated it, it was obvious to me that she was jealous that her lack of friend looked good. The friend even tried choosing a dress for her that didn't make her look as good too. I think she knew exactly what she was doing and the bride stood for herself against this passive aggressive bully.
There is a huge difference between being assertive and being rude. I know these brides are under a lot of pressure but this young lady needs some manners.
1. Dress one actually look great on her. Her friend is right that flatter chest gets away with showing a little more. 2. You can always stuff your chest. Or go get it done. You can probably save up for enough in a year or 2 if you're frugal. 3. Dress 2 makes her look short and stocky. 4. The ultimate decision is the bride, sure. But an entourage is there is support you. And people tend to bring an entourage of people who's opinion they care about (sometimes, it's not). Her friend was being really supportive and honest. Not really pushing her into things. She basically puts words in her friends mouth and acted as if she was the one who got offended. I guess that's why the entourage only consist of like 2 friends 😐.

Why bring an entourage (and waste their time) if their opinion means nothing to you. In addition, there is zero cause ever, to be ignorant and disrespectful of their opinions. This bride may have a long, lonely life ahead!
The friend didn't present her opinion honestly enough and kept pointing out the bride's weakness. Her choice for the bride are way below the ones she criticized. Being calm while acting jealous, doesn't make it any right.
Yeah, I completely understand feeling disappointed that friends or family don't love the dress as much as you do, but you can express that disappointment without getting nasty and defensive like this.
I wonder if the producers encouraged her to act bratty, that seemed to be this episode's "angle" from the start. They always try to have some kind of plot for the show, like "mom wants a conservative dress with sleeves and bride wants sexy, let's watch them duke it out", or "bride is insecure about figure after having children, let's watch the consultant bring up her weight gain over and over until she starts crying, quick, zoom in on those tears!" Obviously they instructed the consultant here to keep bringing up the fact that the friend didn't like the bride's pick, this isn't how most non-televised appointments would go.

The friend never said that the bride couldn't have the dress, she just didn't like it and that's, that. The friend wanted her to expand more and such. The friend said "If she's happy, then I'm happy;" it's okay to hate something, doesn't mean the bride can't have it. The bride had called out on her friend for nothing and said she was deluded for somebody who just wants to help her.

IKR, I had such a fun time shopping for my wedding dress with my mom and friends and the all had a different opinion in what they wanted to see me in. For fun I tried on some of their picks and I just simply said “ the dress is beautiful but I just don’t feel comfortable in it, it’s not for me.” And that it. I wasn’t mad or passive aggressive at all we were all laughing and drinking champagne and in the end I picked the dress I wanted. She shouldn’t have friends they way she treats people it’s disgusting.
The dress she chose was hideous, she didn’t want to look column shaped - but that dress did it for her. I felt like she chose it because her friend didn’t like it. Petty af.

I think that the friend was right in her assessment of a suitable dress in every way.
*Emma's shoulders and upper chest are pretty. The strapless dress lifted her breasts a little, giving more fullness and softness to her upper chest.
By comparison, the dress that sh chose broke the line of her shoulders, and emphasised the area between her breasts, rather than the breasts themselves.
*The lace of the skirt added substance to her tummy and hips, which was good.
The dress that she liked was slinky over the thinnest part f her body and emphasised the pubic bone, which is not really the best look for a bride.
*The little belt with a central bit of bling created a suggestion that her waist was considerably slimmer than her hips and ribs, which in fact, it was not.
The lack of defined waistline in the dress that she chose did nothing that added curves, and nothing to enhance thsoe most attractive parts of her body.

No joke as a fat girl it was a real eye opener to see the sincere insecurity over her frame. She is gorgeous, beautiful, and in my eyes could pull it all off. In a way it makes me feel better to know that some skinny people really do struggle with their size and at the same time it kills me to see her doubt herself.
As a skinny girl, we do struggle with our appearance as well. Insecurity knows no color, race or size. It is why we should all support each other

I feel like all women struggle. Curvy girl wanna be skinnier or have parts of tgeir body be smaller and skinny girls want curves. I've always had a pear shape with a small top and wide hips and i used to be told my legs a fat and hates it for so long. I wanted skinny legs and no clothes were ever propperly made for my body time. Ive learnt to like it now but its hard. I am a skinny girl and trust me we are probably more insecure about our figures more than u would know. Unlike the bride in the video I have curves but that won't stop me from hating what I see in the mirror even if in other people's eyes they don't see the flaws i do. And honesty it's not just fat or chubby people that get negative feedback about their bodies I have had so many people ask me if I am trying to get anorexia or people telling me I should eat more so THEY would find me attractive becasue now alot of people like larger women and I have had people just say the worst possible things straight to my face. But that's life and u can't change it

The bride was very aggressive towards her and seemed to be the one in fact egging it on herself by asking very pointed questions, almost like “how dare she not like what I chose!"
@@themaggieme @2:34, @3:35 and @5:16 the "friend" kept making remarks about her chest (or lack thereof as she put it) over and over again and while it may seem to be out of concern, I can clearly see how she was subtly poking that insecurity she knew the bride had.. you can see in the video even the Consultant picked up on it. I won't be surprised if they have a strained relationship from before this event. Also, the dress the bride chose looked absolutely amazing on her, it fit her so perfectly and when the friend said she hated it, it was obvious to me that she was jealous that her lack of friend looked good. The friend even tried choosing a dress for her that didn't make her look as good too. I think she knew exactly what she was doing and the bride stood for herself against this passive aggressive bully.
There is a huge difference between being assertive and being rude. I know these brides are under a lot of pressure but this young lady needs some manners.
1. Dress one actually look great on her. Her friend is right that flatter chest gets away with showing a little more.
2. You can always stuff your chest. Or go get it done. You can probably save up for enough in a year or 2 if you're frugal.
3. Dress 2 makes her look short and stocky.
4. The ultimate decision is the bride, sure. But an entourage is there is support you. And people tend to bring an entourage of people who's opinion they care about (sometimes, it's not). Her friend was being really supportive and honest. Not really pushing her into things. She basically puts words in her friends mouth and acted as if she was the one who got offended. I guess that's why the entourage only consist of like 2 friends 😐.
