Just picked up a 2014 Glk 350 with 55 thousand miles 1 owner. I'm really hoping this car will be very reliable> This is my first Mercedes. I did purchase 3 yr warranty 36 thousand miles to have some peace of mine.. Congrats on your purchase.

I hope it will be reliable for the both of us haha! 3 Year warranty is definitely a nice option! I will make updated videos with running costs as more mileage is put on the car!

I have a 2012 GLK 300 4matic. Bought it brand new. Its a great car. The na v6 is solid. Drives like a hot hatch kinda. Maintenance gets a bit expensive after a point. Around the 8 year mark. I have had to change a few things like suspension, alternator, intake manifold but the engine and trans are still stock after 93k miles. Love the car.

My wife is basically anti-car, though she has warmed to my choices over the last few years. First I got a BMW 128i, which is a very beautiful car. It has the 6-speed MT, which was not ideal for my wife, but it was perfect for me! Nevertheless, she has come to love it! She particularly likes its power! When she steps on it, it goes! Recently my old 4Runner has bit the dust, and I wanted to replace it with another medium-size SUV. 4Runners are even more expensive than these, but I wanted a winter car. When I learned about GLKs, that they are apparently super-reliable, and that they have quite a bit of power, making them fun to drive, I was sold. My wife is also sold! I let her drive it, and said she should drive it as her main car… It is perfect for her. She agreed (I will be stuck with a BMW 128i and a Miata, as well as a Honda CRV, which is no hardship for me)! Mine is a 4Matic, so it might be able to go through snow almost as well as the 4Runner… I’ve had her a week, and so far so good!

I've watched this and the XC60 review and you're really good at covering all the bases clearly and concisely and in an interesting manner. Not sure it's something you're interested in but might wanna branch out into car reviews! Again, good job!

No doubt this is a very basic glk. We are looking for an awd model right now. We live in the North east, lots of snow in the winter. They are reliable but the maintenance cost for parts can be a little pricey from what I hear, not from my experience. Nice looking vehicle, the design is ageless.

I had a 2011 glk 4matic and put 125k on it before the infamous death shudder.
High maintenance cost and reliable to an extent. I loved driving that car. It was quick and handled well on winding roads.
Guzzles gas like a mofo though. And is okay in the snow but not that great tbh, but that’s mainly due to the tire tread and the fact that sportier tires are recommended for it.
That death shudder happened to my glk350 and after pouring 4 grand into it, it just wasn’t the same. Same think happened to my friends bluetec glk

You don't need to hold the key to start the engine, like on older cars. Just soft turn and let it go and engine will start.

I just found a 2013 glk with 26k miles…. I really love it but just worried about problems it has since it was sitting most of its life.

Hey, I'm considering buying 2015 glk 350 with 70k miles. It has an oil leak, dealership says it's a timing cover problem. Is this a red flag, or normal wear and tear? Thanks!
