6 years later, 45K miles and absolutely still love this car.
2015..72k.. excellent drive
I may get a 2010 model. It's very well maintained. The only thing that's holding me back is mileage. I do about 90% of my driving in city, about 300 km per month (in city). In your experience, how is your fuel economy? If you don't mind me asking, how much do you drive and how much do you spend on gas monthly?
I have a 2014 GLK white 4-matic that's maxed out with extras I don't really use or need...but it was a dealers demo with 30,000 miles. I LOVE everything about my car from performance to beauty!! This was a great review. I really enjoyed it!! I had a 330i BMW but was ready for this sporty, fast SUV! Thanks...Diana
This car has so many extras you probably missed a few but so far; one of the best reviews out there.
It helps the 0-60 if you don't start in 2nd gear every time.. Hit the sport button and it'll start you off in 1st gear. Big difference.
Thanks for this. I'm currently in an 08 C300 4 matic, which I love, but I'll probably be ready for my next car in a year or two and am thinking that I'll want to go back to an SUV. Will probably look at this, some of the other MB models, and Porsche. This video was helpful 👍
Great review! Your style, pace and comments are informative and sometimes humorous (such as the social value of a car). I just bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 GLK almost just like the one you are reviewing here. After driving the X3 and the Range Rover Evoque, I found the X3 to be very practical, but a bit bigger vehicle than I wanted - and the Evoque the most thrilling, but not so practical or reliable as the GLK. In addition, the Mercedes Benz dealership was extremely helpful, friendly and treated me with respect. They also have a "Red Carpet" delivery program that makes you feel like you are spending $150,000 - even if you're spending less than a quarter of that. I hope to get very good service out of my GLK. I have owned 3 previous Mercedes Benz vehicles, and have found them to be extremely durable and reliable so long as they are well cared-for and all scheduled service is performed at the proper mileage.

I didn't find that. I bought a well-appointed one with 16k miles for $32. I gave them my '13 Buick Encore Convenience Group with 38k miles for $12. I think I made a good deal. The pisser is- I liked that little Buick!

I own this car and it’s AMAZING! I love the power it has, I can pass any car on the road, gas mileage for me is around 33MPH! The stereo and sun roof is great! Sometimes when the light turns green I am way ahead of everyone.
Very luxurious! I used to own a 1988 550 SL Roadster and it was the best car I ever owned with exception to my 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 I got over 250,000 miles on it and sold it for 10,000 4 years ago. I only had oil changes, tires replaced 2 times. I know this is not a review about Jeeps but I have owned BMW’s always in the shop, Audi’s always in the shop. So I did my research and I’m back into a Mercedes I highly recommend this car!

There's a fully-loaded 2015 model with the BlueTEC turbodiesel and only 5k miles on it for $29k. It has absolutely no problems, it got leased to a business owner who sold it back to Mercedes after the 5k mile mark.
I need a comfy car for a broken butt and bad back, and my current cars (Subaru XV Crosstrek, Datsun 240z, Volkswagen Type 181) are NOT comfy at all. Should I get it? I can probably haggle the dealer even lower than $29k since it's a slow-selling model and we're almost at the 2017 model year.

Personally I think your Range Rover is cleaner than the GLK. Love how you have it, Don't know if those rims are stock or not but they're nice.
the negative social aspect is that people may look at you poorly also because Mercedes owners gets a bad rep as bad drivers

I can't imagine spending $40k on a car with no projectors. It's 2015, why are we still using halogen reflector housings?

I'll answer this because my folks drive this very Mercedes. To some consumers, such as my parents, they don't care for these types of options. Unless the car doesn't have headlights, they wouldn't even notice. Their previous car was a E350 sport without HIDs. When they rode in my old car, a Mazdaspeed 3 with HIDs, they did not even notice them.
So from a business standpoint, it makes sense to not offer this type of equipment standard, because the people who really want HIDs will pay the extra money for a technology package option,.
Have you guys actually seen a fully loaded Mercedes or BMW? It can be 20k over the base price of a car.
+kenshin521 I guess in my mind I would want the most for my money. I'd rather buy a fully loaded Ford Explorer over a base model Mercedes (assuming those are similar in price).
Even if the buyer didn't want the options to save a few bucks, I still feel like projectors should just be there when you're spending this much money. That's how I see it at least.

This car is marketed to soccer moms that want a crossover/suv mercedes. They dont want a AMG 63 to impressive people. I dont know where you live but its a very shallow place apparently because i live and work around wealthy people and they could careless. Some drive really old mercedes and you wouldnt know they go home to a 5 million dollar house. Youre shallow dude get some help
Motor Sportz that’s how it is by my job, I work near highland park Illinois and am relatively close to Hawthorne woods where houses range from like 500,000 - 20,000,000 and I notice that almost every one has a Kia Optima , Acura MDX and maybe a bmw 7 series or Mercedes s class. It doesn’t really seem like anyone cares about the car as much as everyone thinks

lol, you guys complain about the GLK350 being not as premium ,haha the C200 is 260,000 ringgit in malaysia it should have been 105,000 ringgit. A BMW 316i is 208,000 ringgit where it should be something around 90,000 ringgit, a honda!...honda civic 2.0 is 120,000 ringgit where its actual price is 70,000! but Singapore is still worser

i have the glk300 2011 and i hate it, the new models are good though
I had a 2011 glk and it had so many problems. Problems including cylinder misfiring, transmission problem, and many electrical problems

I liked the GLK 350, until I saw the new 2016 GLC 300. It looks 10x better than this.
To you i guess to me the GLK looks better. But the GLC coupe (rounder) looks better than both.
