I'd like to take the time to congratulate you on how awesome your channel is. Nothing too extreme, just normal touring. I have a Ranger myself and have been working to build it up to be an effective tourer. Keep the vids coming, really enjoying them!
The XTT is really nice! I found towing the trailer in the high country pretty intense, even with trailer breaks it pushes the car around a bit. For the uphills, just have to keep the momentum up! You’ll have lots of fun!
@@rangertouring hi mate thanx for reply not many videos out there on campers doing extreme hills. Got question, are U familier with places like wonangatta do U think xtt camper will be ok to take coming from myltleford baffelo track?
@@roscoadventures2194 hey mate, I’ve done a few tracks around Wonongatta valley, not too familiar with those tracks though. The camper trailers are excellent for clearance and suspension, they will follow the car anywhere. The only problem is the weight, you need a powerful car to pull the trailer up some of those crazy hills out there. I would say a winch is essential if you can’t pull it up the hill. Also, there are a lot of steep switchbacks which sometime require reversing, which is pretty difficult to do with the trailer - sometimes need to unhitch. When going down hills, the trailer also pushes the car around which is pretty scary, especially when cornering down hill.

Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!
Amazing video, very inspiring
great stuff mate
What tracks did you do from Donalds track to Lake Eildon
After Donald track, we turned right on Big River Road, left on Jamieson Eildon Road, right on Taylor’s Creek Track and finished up on Rhonda Track
How awesome is the mchitch I have that on my mdc way better than those poly block ones
Agreed! I did 2 trips away with the poly block before changing it over! Worst thing to take on and off when the ground isn’t perfectly flat!
lol you don’t let tyres down that are drive tyres my brother 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Unsure what you mean by that?
Hi mate just pick up Robinson xtt hope I can attempt to those hills
