Literally cannot get the book or film out of my mind. It has literally changed my whole way of thinking about love, about novel writing and about film making. The film and books are works of art and shows that love conquers over everything, over gender, over age and over time. It’s a beautiful, beautiful story that makes me feel so happy, so carefree but also so sad and so heart broken. Brilliant and perfect. Thank you to these two men for providing us with this dream. Also a massive thank you to Timothee and Armie for such amazing and natural performances. You have stolen my heart CMBYN and I think I’m going to have a cry now 😂😘❤️😍😔

This film is a beautiful reflection of life. When you see the images you can feel how the film breathes in the surroundings so that we more deepen ourselves in the story. Sadly we forget to appreciate the silent moments of a movie, but fore that I love it that the movie takes it's time.
A beautiful movie, one of my favorites.

‘It should set a model for happy romance’.
Really?! I spent the last 30 pages CRYING MY EYES OUT. The movie is so wonderful, but the book is just GORGEOUS. Omg I have no water left in my body after reading that masterpiece

I agree the story itself is tragic and sad. However, the love felt between the two characters is a happy one. I think that's what they were trying to say. If Elio and Oliver had been able to continue their romance they would've been very happy.

so beautiful. And what Aciman said in the end is excatly why I love the story so much. There's no villain or drama, it's just a snippet of pure life, a summer like any other that happened to be life changing for the characters. And after that summer, life moves on and it moves on, and after so many years there is still nothing that changed them so deeply than that summer.

Br0th3r7, yes, so? I mean, it's hardly surprising. I'd be surprised if they hadn't. Luca needed to, because he wasn't sure if it would actually work and if he could and should put the scene in the movie at all, and Timothée, because he had to do the scene, so why the heck not try it - pretty simple, pleasant research. ;)

    CMBYN is my lifetime fix.
It explores the love I had and maybe didn't have, it makes me long for a summer in Italy, an Oliver, and yes the heartbreak tears. We grow out of all these experiences.
    From Andre, James, Luka,,
Sufjan and that inspiring cast, Timothy and Armie, no Oscar award could ever to justice to the way you took on these characters and brought them into our lives. You only have to read comments on you tube from months ago to today to know we still so absorbed
And emotional over this luv story.

  • @seijiozawa5316

what’s beautiful about this story is how even though Elio and Oliver didnt end up together, what they had that summer was theirs & only theirs. it was their summer & they were each other’s world for those 6 weeks. i’m sad they didn’t end up getting married but that would’ve taken away from the hard hitting story. i love it.

After reading the book, after watching the movie, after completely engulfing every last thing, the music and all, about "call me by your name" into my soul, I have found myself wishing so hard to be a man, to look attractive like a man so that when another man would look at me like Elio did to Oliver I'd fall in love with him just at that instant. That's how deep my journey of a week with Andrè Aciman was. Sorry if I am offending anything or anyone but I've been casted adrift!
