By luck, I happened to meet the artist/illustrator who I got to play a game with at a Board game cafe. Her art can be seen in a few of Ice Makes games, but notably an upcoming game Mushroom Sorcerer by a different company has a lot of the signature style from Eila. The artist is also the head lead for the upcoming KS, Terrorscape.

Hadn't heard of this one, but it looks neat. Thanks for sharing. As for it being dark, that music bunny is kinda creepy - there's treachery in that smile. 😄

I appreciate your warning about the story content. Imho it should have been communicated better during the campaign that the story moves into a darker and more serious direction after the first chapters. The kickstarter campaign (and the playtest version) only showed off the very first scenarios where everything is still very light hearted and shiny. We were definitely surprised about how the story developed and would not have anticipated this, so my wife and I were kind of happy that we played through the story (and stumbled upon some of the darker paths) to get an idea wether this was suited for our children to play or not.

Yeah, it surprised me a bit too! My 6 year old had to be gently led through a few of the “rough spots” in the narrative ;)

How long does a single campaign take? I'm interested in campaign games and want to try a few. I've been playing sleeping Gods, but I got burnt out by the second shuffle of the action deck. I want something that doesn't overstay its welcome.

The full campaign is 5 full scenarios, and each is 45-90 minutes. There's a quicker tutorial scenario as well that you can skip on future plays. I tend to prefer 3-8 scenario campaigns, so this felt about perfect for my tastes.

      @@OneStopCoopShop that's sounds like my speed. I don't think I'm a 20 hour campaign guy.

I loved the mechanics and I liked the story, but it was too much of a bait and switch for me on the story. I couldn’t run it with my five year old which made me sad.

Yes, totally get that. I was mixed on the ending at first, but liked it more as time went on ;)

Personally I would absolutely not recommend this game.
Even the 'best' ending is truly depressing.

Is it? Not in how I interpreted it.
But yes, it’s not a “feel good” experience overall 😅

It not fair that the development have not made retail version (for UK) of game.
As I am holding off watching any video due to story spoiler. 🤑🥲

Well, at least a quick review should be safe ;)
