Jen, tell Korey that the advice she gave you was fantastic, and that that same advice is going to help many other people in the same way it helped you! I have anxiety myself, and so I'll be taking those words to heart! Skillet is my favourite band of all-time and you're my favourite member, just so you know! I saw Skillet in concert on September 11, 2017 in Winnipeg (in Canada), and it was easily the best concert I've been to in my life! I was standing on the floor right in front of the stage- in the best "seats" in the mosh pit! Haha! You ROCK Jen (both literally and as a person)!

Koreys answer literally made me cry. I'm sitting in my bed, tears running down my face, because it's the most beautiful answer someone can ever get and I actually had an anxiety attack a few minutes ago. Perfect timing.

Korey's answer helped me as well! I've had an anxiety disorder since I was 3 or 4 years old (I'm almost 25 now), but despite that I never had any anxiety/panic attacks until within the last 2 years or so, and it was easily one of the most terrifying things I've ever gone through! I feel your pain in that department! I've taken Korey's advice to heart as well, because as someone who struggles with anxiety on a daily basis (including heart palpitations and constant fear and worry about illnesses and medical problems to the point that I had severe insomnia issues for at least 2 years), I pretty much HAVE to do that! Despite being a dude, Jen is easily one of my biggest role models when it comes down to her own struggles with anxiety and how Korey (and most importantly, God) has helped her through it! I truly, without a word of a lie, love her! I know a lot of people do as well, but her experiences speak to/help me on a personal level! I just wish I could meet her in person and thank her myself, instead of writing a comment here on TH-cam that she may or may not even see! Jen (and John Cooper) are both some of my personal heroes, and Skillet has been my favourite band of all time (with Jen being my favourite member) for years! If you ever need tips for dealing with anxiety, feel free to ask me! I've had 20 years of experience in this matter, so I can pass on a LOT of what I know to you if you need it! So hit me up (if you need it)!
I love when you talk about Jesus. My mom and I were just in a bad car wreck...He spared our lives. I had two brain bleeds, and a bad head injury, yet here I am. I ask Him more than ever to please please use my life.

@@realahsokatano5046 I like Demon Hunter as well. I found I don't directly agree with "death is on my side", because Jesus is not death, he is the Truth, the Life, and the way. I still like the way it sounds, but I need to stop listening to it for sure, now that I remembered that. Before I had been thinking about how Jesus had the keys to Death and Hades, and he is on our side. The first explanation really clears things up. What a shame. Their songs seem wonderful. I guess I can try and tell them, but I don't know If they would be willing to remove the error somehow.

Darn right! That is one of the MANY reasons as to why I'm going to marry her! LOL! She is easily the most beautiful person I've ever seen- inside AND out! Plus, since inner beauty is FAR more important to me than outer beauty, I can usually tell when someone has inner beauty, and Jen most certainly does!

Not Dead Yet is my absolute favorite song. I first started listening to it during college when I was struggling to find my confidence, and sadness and anxiety had invaded my heart. I would listen to the song on the way to class or clinical and sometimes just sing as loud as I could, over and over again, because those words helped me find the strength to keep going, even when I felt like a complete failure and all I wanted to do was give up. I’m so thankful for this song, and that Jen has the courage to write it and share her story with the world because it has definitely impacted my life.
I started listening to Skillet about 8-9 years ago mostly the song "Hero" as part of an inspirational workout mix for the gym, and not only did it get me pumped up it also kind of floored me with how amazing John Cooper and Jen Ledger vocals worked together. Up until this past year i only had like two of Skillets songs, and about 6 months ago i was dealing with a relationship issue that was weighing heavily on my soul. I stopped by the mall randomly one day and found the "Awake" album, and finally having a working CD player i listened to the entire album. Just about every song on that album spoke to me and kind of guided me to the answers i never knew i needed. God Bless you Skillet.

I heard Not Dead Yet for the first time while attending Rock The Desert this year. It touched me deeply. It was my birthday weekend, and I went to RTD expecting to hear a song for my new year. That was it.

Jen let me start by saying that you are an incredibly talented young lady and you are an inspiration to this man who is in his 50s. As a Christian I really enjoy the music of Skillet and Ledger. It is so refreshing to see musicians promoting and worshipping our Lord and Saviour in a world that has tried so hard just shut him out. Not dead yet inspired me cuz I have been sober first the first time in 9 years I've been sober for a month and am struggling with staying sober cuz I feel hopeless but that song made me realize I'm still alive cuz I'm sober and it gave me hope so thx Jen!

Jen, I struggle with anxiety so bad that I've been diagnosed with severe debilitating anxiety. It took an epileptologist to diagnose me. I decided to take a course to help me deal and it was the hardest yr of my life. I'm a survivor and a graduate of the course and now im in control, not my anxiety. Take care girl. Love your voice.
