i agree but i think in general the way we view celebrity culture and indulgence has changed a lot. it’s kind of tacky to flaunt wealth when so many people are lacking especially in recent times. ultra rich people with homes worth looking at would never let mtv in and open themselves up to scrutiny like that you feel me? some people like kim and kanye get away with it by being so modern it’s art and ends up in magazines but that’s a much more sophisticated way of showing off than cribs
