No i replaced it and it runs great. A tune may help increase the overall power gain from an aftermarket intake but i plan on doing all the tuning when i supercharge it.
Do you know where I can buy the series 2 rx-8 fog lights for my 2009 Mazda rx-8. When I bought my car it didn’t come with them. Any I wanna buy some to Install then because they look nice . Anywhere online is fine.
Oscar Amador I just looked online and couldnt find a new or used set. The only options would be to buy them new from mazda or get a used front bumper with fog lights and switch them over to your car. Hope this helps. Good luck!
But why tho the stock airbox from the rx8 is already a cold air intake and the k&n design will just heat soak the motor quicker because its not. you just uncold air intaked your car 🤔
InfamousRX The k&n intake isnt ideal for lower intake temps but you can put heat wrap around the pipe and plexiglass over the top of the filter to seal it in and it will pull air from the front intake duct. The intake looks great and if my intake temps are too high after i seal and wrap it then i will be getting the aem intake where the filter sits inside the front bumper. I need to make videos for my channel and modify my cars and the rx8 is basically unmodifiable because the mazda engineers squeezed all the power they could out of the car so im doing any mods i can to customize my cars. Sean Haight it’s been proven the k&n kit is basically the worst intake for these cars. Only ones to show slight improvement is aem intake and racing beat revi air duct.

adding more hot air than cold is not worth
