I am still using the C920 after all these years, it´s just hard to find something "significantly" better. It´s baffled me for a long time that little effort has been made to improve the tech involving web cams.
@@AurioDK haha yeah it’s a good question and a lot of it comes down to wanting something truly good or good enough. Most settle for the latter, which makes the idea of upgrading bottom on their list of priorities. But I’d say that if you are needing a truly good webcam that will be used for something in which quality is important, these are good options.
I had the C920, upgraded to the BRIO a few years back, and am super likely to upgrade to this one. For pure video conferencing, the C920 would still be great as no video conferencing is sending an image worth of 1080p resolution, if even 720p. I upgraded for the combination of having a physical barrier to cover the lens and the upgraded resolution. I think variants of the C920 (maybe 930) had a flip over privacy cover but I didn't have one. The reason I'd want to upgrade further to this is because the gimbal. I have a very large monitor and fixing the camera above or below my desk has challenges to perspective and placement. The gimbal doesn't entirely get rid of the fact that it's going to be an over the top perspective of me, but it'll alleviate my hassle trying to get the camera to point far enough down in the first place. It'll also give me the ability, should I want to, attach to a laptop and conference with someone else as I move around in a room if I wanted to. I also think gesture control is huge. I'm guessing the gestures covered in this video arent' all of them. The older Link camera had more and this one almost certainly has them too. IIRC you can make the gimbal stop tracking so you can actually move "off camera." And there is a "whiteboard focus" mode which will detect and focus on a whiteboard if you're presenting that way. I have a whiteboard that my webcam is point at. It will be useful.
I also had the c920 all the way up until the original Link which changed everything. I know you are looking for "significantly" better, but I mean... watch this video? They're clearly amazing almost DLSR level cameras. If you're waiting for a better "better" then I don't even know what that is...
Why would you think it matters? Capture devices in Windows all output the same thing. If MS Teams or Zoom can or can't do something, the difference won't with the camera. Maybe if you're talking about cameras at a very low end of image quality might prevent one or the other from being able to do some "effects" well due to the degraded image making it harder to recognize something like exact face or eyes, or make guesses at depth. Otherwise, there's never any reason why you should think a good web camera performs differently depending on the software. Operating system might matter if support for controlling the features of the camera is limited on one platform versus the other.
The 2c will bea real win for everyone who wants to buy a webcam for around 150. For 300 theres the kiyo ultra but that one is to expensive for most of the people. Logitech is in troubke i would say.
@@blueeyedtech1234 i have a kiyo pro. (3 or 4 years old i think) Its okay in good lighting conditions and if i tweak it manually. It somehow loses often the right settings in the software and i will not be sad if its dies. Its true what they say about synapes. Im happy for you that it seems that you have gotten something good for your money!
Insta truly knocked it out of the park!

I have the original link. Believe me - it’s much better than the c920.

For the pre-set areas, can we adjust the orientation for each of the area?
Can you use their software with a different webcam?
@@CityScapesLawnCare I don’t think so, the software is specifically designed for insta360.
what if you have multi people but you only want it to track the person who put there hand up does it do that
Does it support Windows Hello?
How does it perform either MS Teams/Zoom and windows?
