Naruto deserved its praise as one of anime's best fight scenes in recent memory. Rock Lee vs Gaara is one of them. Feel free to disagree but my opinion still stands.
From Naruto I like the most Obito vs Kakashi in anime episode 375. Very quick fight. Best dynamics. No "talking". Very good flashbacks combination. Lots of emotions. And music!
Kind if true ...too bad he didnt even notice he was sent until he looked around. That's when you know no one has a chance, to the point even attacks that could probably kill you doesn't even matter. I still liked the fight as it was one of the best hyped up fights I have seen, though I do have others that are just as great or better.
Yeah, the chances of hitting the moon exactly from earth is like 1 in a million. The aim has to be perfect and the earth and moon have to be in the right place for that to even be possible. Not to mention it was day time. LOL!
fuaad Mohamoud OH MY GOD!!!!!! actually I'm wondering since he didnt notice that he was in space was he still breathing up the the moon. He didn't get the air knocked out of him so was he still breathing
I do love me that fight. It's not a "Fight" though is it? More of a brutal death-match between two skilled individual's trying to murder the other. It's not "Let me parry all your blows for five minutes." nearly every hit or sometimes chains of hits either pin the enemy down or could be lethal.
YES. The Final fight between Naruto and Sasuke was goddamned beautiful. It just had so much emotion in every scene, most especially after they used up all their chakra and just go at it with a very simple but brutal fistfight. THE WHOLE FIGHT WAS FULL OF EMOTIOOON.
Tbh the fight was emotionally weak compared to the kakashi vs obito fight Naruto vs Sasuke isnt very emotionally strong i mean it just gets boring near the end
if come to emotionally I think kakashi vs obito is much better, but if it come to fighting scene naruto x sasuke still one of the best. it's really make me hope One Piece was get animated by Pierrot.

@@Fearienify If you read the light novel you realize that Kirei vs Kiritsugu was far more cerebral then Lancer vs Saber. The major problem is that barely any of their thoughts and decision making get mentioned in the anime since it would slow down the action to much. K vs K was hands down the best fight in that series tough. No Knight Code and "aknowledging of your opponents skill". Just to master assassins trying to kill the other guy as fast as possible.
I absolutely agree. Emiya vs Kotomine was complete mental battle and you had no clue which direction it was gonna go. There was so much build up to their potential
Keenan Carlson Absolutly my favourit fight. Love it how you can see the power of genos in the hole Serie and you think, god he is so strong. And then you see the power of saitama.
well tbh, the animation just requires adjusting in the first season, save it's 80 something episodes long, however 2nd and 3rd season's animation is absouletly beautiful tbh, and i like the older artstyle, fits in well with the effects
Hunter Jackson that fight between 'National flyweight Champion' Rocky and Hajime was epic. That final moment when Rocky was still fighting Hajime, even though he'd passed out moments ago and solely fought because the crowd was still cheering him on, got me fucking emotional. And I'm the kind of guy who's able to keep a straight face during the entire Screen time of Schindler's list. (who the fuck am I kidding, that speech at the very end of that movie was an instant tear jerker)
I actually only came to this video like a year after it was posted just because I knew the fight had to be here and I wanted to hear Gigguk's say on it. It was even better than how I could've described it, and I'm an animation fanatic that almost cries to this every time just because of how good it is.
is it bad that I thought you just called sao sword of the stranger for some reason? and then I was trying to think of a sao fight i actually would call good
3:38 I was literally just going "One Punch Man, One Punch, One Punch, One Punch, One Pun, One Pun-" over and over again as you were describing the kinda fight this was gonna be. As soon as I heard that guitar, I almost died.
I legitimately watched ALL of Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden purely based on this video and the final fight scene. By the time I got there I forgot all about it, and was reminded exactly why I was watching the show in the first place. None of that Fourth Shinobi War shit ever felt important to me, I was watching purely for the relationship between those two
@@derushcore9514 That's your opinion but honestly I really enjoyed it for the most part. The final arc could have been done better and there was far too much filler but the actual fight scenes and characters are really fun
Meh, no. No, he didn't. As funny as those fights are, they're nowhere near as well done or iconic as the fights listed. PS: You missed a few exclamation points.
I saw this, took Gigguk's advice, watched Sword of the Stranger and it's goddamn beautiful. I love the aesthetic of the whole movie. Not only the fights and animation throughout, but some subtle plot points really help the movie become what a work of art it is...
@Jixzys jesus is L and laughing emoji the only thing you know? you haven't made a single coherent comment and you're saying other people are out here taking Ls
DeadPool actually the sales and marketing guy misspoke in the interview and said that tokyo ghoul is coming soon, when he actually meant my hero academy. they haven't even said they are doing a TG season 3
SWORD OF THE STRANGER FTW! Fangirling aside, that movie is so very underrated. You mentioned sword fighting and that's the first anime that came to my mind. And that music though...
The first time I watched the fight I swelled up with emotion. The music is beautiful and the characters... Love the scene prior to the fight when Lang offers the drug and says "Use...medicine...pain...go away" and no name responded "pain helps make me feel more alive". That was amazing. And I can still remember the response. "Hao, jin hao. Wa yah ra she whun ye". Butchered the text but it was great!
M0HAMED-Immortal I don't think he watches Gintama. But I agree, it's easily the best fight in 2016, it's also my favorite fight in all of anime. SPOILERS That fucking twist made me cry like a little bitch. Also the part where Takasugi pummeled Gintoki to the ground had a thousand times more emotions put into it than when Sasuke pummeled Naruto to the ground in their final fight.
M0HAMED-Immortal At least I don't think he watches it. He's never talked about it or mentioned it in any of his videos. It's possible he started the series but dropped it or something, but I can't imagine him having watched Gintama and won't mention any of the fights from the serious arcs.
he was making a joke and u took it to serious by jumping on the hype train but ur to late for that cus most people already forgot mob psycho so fuck you
Yutaka Nakamura is the main reason why everybody says that Studio Bones excels especially at action scenes, not to discredit the other great animators.
I was also thinking "Oh man, the final fight in sword of the stranger needs to be in this. It's the first one that comes to mind." Like, sword of the stranger isn't even my favourite anime film, but it's simply one of the best fights out there.
If you want to see another fight like Naruto vs Sasuke, Gintoki vs Takasugi from Gintama feels like almost the same fight. Just as emotionally charged between two long time friends, the setting is similar, and even at points it boils down to a fistfight all the same. It's one of the best fights I've ever seen on multiple levels. All of the choices in this video were fantastic though, keep up the dank memes and such, Gigguk.
Ouh yes this fight gave me goose bumps. I was in pure shock. (Though I have to be honest I've never watched Naruto so I can't compare them.) Still, Gintoki vs Takasugi is a fight really worth mentioning. Gigguk probably doesn't watch Gintama.
I don't understand why people keep bitching about the Fate/Zero fight between Saber and Lancer on this list? It makes me think that some just don't understand aesthetics or subtlty. For one, it's one of the first fights to be featured in Fate/Zero, which isn't just incredibly well animated and deep in lore, but it also sets up the rest of the series and battles of the show to follow. The fact that it is more spaced out in its exchange and there's a lot more going in the background is also what makes it a brilliant addition to this list. It's not just all flash and bang as most fights are, but it also focuses a lot on the weapons, abilities and techniques at the fighters' disposal, without having to go into ridiculously long flashbacks or pointless cutaways to explain any of its origins. Two, it establishes how a lot of the battles in Fate/Zero are fought and the amount of strategy that actually goes behind the duel between servants. Gigguk kind of covered that in his expose. Three, there is a lot of relevant dialogue that takes place within the fight itself, which is how a lot of strategy based battles unfold. And most of it is focused on the fight itself and not over some ideaology or history. That battle takes place later in the show during the feast of kings, and that was a brilliant exchange in itself where no physical blows were dealt or traded at all, but there was still a lot of tension involved. Which brings me directly into my fourth point. Considering what is at stake and a lot of people actually die in this show (some in rather horrifying ways), it also works tension really well into this fight, especially when you feel the main "protagonist" is in constant danger during her exchange, since not only is Saber losing ground quickly, but she's also trying to figure out lancer's secrets and his identity at the same time, which could potentially result in a lethal hit. Five (and probably the most important point), it's not an overhyped Shonen series people keep bleating about to the end of time! Thank f&*k for that. It's always refreshing to see a list that isn't made up entirely out of HunterXHunter, Naruto, Bleach or One Piece fights. The fact that they were just mentioned and acknowledged in this list is good enough.
toadarkflare Why? I mean, if that's the reason, then why are people bitching about why hunter x hunter or some other anime should've been on the list rather than the lancer vs saber fight? Because it's dubbed? If so then that's just petty.
While I'd rather put a different fight from the Fate series on this list, I can't really disagree. Lancer vs Saber was a pretty important fight as that's where Lancer and Saber's respect for each other starts from, which is something worth noting considering what happens with Lancer later on. I'd still put the Emiya vs Gilgamesh fight from Unlimited Blade Works instead though. It was just such a damn satisfying fight
The Naruto fight he points at, is seriously, suprisingly good. Also watch Boruto the movie if you wanna see how glorious Naruto fight scenes *could've* been
Well, to be honest, the Obito and Kakashi fight has very similar emotional weight with Sasuke and narutos final fight. Both bring to a close a loooooong history of emotion and battles.
Well its not really stupid. He chose anger over the village making itachi suffer rather than following what his brother wanted. Just like Itachi chose Sasukes life over the village, Sasuke chose itachis life and the task of revenge over his own village. Just because Itachi chose to be loyal to the village, doesnt mean that Sasuke should too. He is just a character based on hate, revenge, and logic decisions....Which kinda makes him Sasuke. Thats why its weird watching him in Boruto. Even tho its nice to see him change, its weird to see him act like a normal citizen XD

Can confirm on your discussion about planning a fight and the big changes small actions can have (Saber vs Lance). I'm a fencer, and when a talented swordplayer knows what they're doing, the battle is about 90% mental and only 10% physical. When I'm in good form, I can kill my opponent, literally... without taking a step, moving my arm, shoulder, or wrist. If I plan it all correctly and I understand my and my opponent's skills... they're going to kill themselves on my blade before I'm ever threatened.
Thanks to this I watched Sword of the Stranger. it's a good movie and despite there not being a whole lot of dialogue it tells a good story. The action and visuals are great, too, and it all helps to tell a great narrative.
I kept following the manga. Fuck the anime, though. The amount of filler is obscene. I did watch the Naruto vs Sasuke fight, however. Fucking glorious.
Isn't it the 2nd most popular anime next to DBZ? I know the filler was unbearable during the 4th war, trust me I stopped watching until they got their shit together., still tho.
Some people feel it went on too long just for the sake of going on, lost plot, had major filler, etc. I think at this point it is similar to DBZ though, I think it went on so long people just grew out of it and got bored.
Ehh, I'd disagree. It really lacked character-wise, because Ozai and Aang didn't know each other, whatsoever. Sure, Kirei and Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero tried to kill each other when meeting each other for the first time, but they had impressions of each other beforehand that made there be a more connection.
I would've had to include Emiya vs. Archer with the clash between a man wanting to undo a mistake in his past and a boy with a stone hard dream trying to reject the future self telling him his dream is wrong. As the fight progresses, the strength behind every one of Emiya's blows increases and his technique begins to mimick Archer's as he tries to overcome him. Then the flashback scene that reminds him of what he's fighting for and solidifies his conviction, and Archer recognizing the unbreakable look on his past self's face, realizing he'll never give up his dream no matter what. It's an incredible scene of a man fighting himself, staying true to his beliefs even after seeing the hell it would bring him
Kakashi vs Obito final fight was way better in that category imo. The choreography and cinematography were the absolute maximum and paired with an excellent musical score and a strong emotional presence purveyed through the visual flashbacks during the fight, makes it one of my favorite fights in any anime. That is something significant to me, personally, because I didn't like Shippuden as a series very much. P.S. also Sasuke was a garbage can of a character. It hurts the emotional investment of a fight when one of the characters was an edgy, emo, 2d character for more than half of a series that went over 500 eps. The fight drags on way too long, nullifying the impact of the silence and the heaviness of the blows. It also ends the way every one of their fights has ended. It stopped being endearing a long time ago. Also the "using each others hands for signs" was done in the Obito fight before this.
very true, the fact is they lifted so many elements from it for the final clash speaks volumes plus it's not dragged out and has a far more bruta and satisfying conclusion
Novembre Pleut Kakashi's character has placed an extreme importance on friends from the outset and, at least for me, it really made me connect emotionally with him when he was forced to take the life of a friend. On the flip side, if Naruto killed Sasuke I doubt I would have really felt anything at all over it. It added so much weight to the conclusion of Kakashi's fight. It was satisfying in a kind of masochistic way, a sad ending that could only appease us if it was sad.
well jojo is exellent in being smart and over the top and since he looked at which fights where most focused in their relative aspect he could not put a jojo fight in there
Hell FUCKIN yeah!! Can't be a fight vid without lancer! Those who know fate know how badass he is, he kept FREAKIN saber on her toes and almost defeated Her, of not only for "Luck" ! All with a flirtatious smile 💙😏
Just about every warrior culture in history (including the samurai) used spears as the primary weapon on the battlefield for good reason. Swords, being easy to carry, were great for EDC self defense and civilian deuling but when trained warriors went to war the spears and polearms were brought out and became the primary weapons.
I will never forget the training scene fight between Genos and Saitama.

Naruto deserved its praise as one of anime's best fight scenes in recent memory. Rock Lee vs Gaara is one of them. Feel free to disagree but my opinion still stands.
I will never forget Rock Lee vs. Gaara.
Zoro Fanboy also the first Naruto vs Sasuke fight now that was freakin hype
Rock Lee Vs Gaara is still my favourite fight in all of Naruto.
Rem i can see why. It's a brilliant fight
From Naruto I like the most Obito vs Kakashi in anime episode 375. Very quick fight. Best dynamics. No "talking". Very good flashbacks combination. Lots of emotions. And music!
Everyone knows yoshikage Kira vs the the ambulance is the top fight scene of all time of everything

The crazy thing is that if Saitama had missed the moon and continued into space. Borus would have won.
LOL!
VaanG0v Eventually, Saitama stopped thinking.
Mad Cat 74 please he stopped thinking since the battle started.
fuaad Mohamoud OH MY GOD!!!!!! actually I'm wondering since he didnt notice that he was in space was he still breathing up the the moon. He didn't get the air knocked out of him so was he still breathing
This Naruto vs. Sasuke episode was so good because it was an epic conclusion after the 476 episodes you have already watched to get there! Loved it
"We don't need a 3rd party telling us how powerful they are." Yo saying that louder so the cast of Jojo can hear it.
In Fate/Zero I prefer the final battle between Kiritsugu vs Kirei
All the fights are fucking epic. lol
I do love me that fight.
It's not a "Fight" though is it? More of a brutal death-match between two skilled individual's trying to murder the other. It's not "Let me parry all your blows for five minutes." nearly every hit or sometimes chains of hits either pin the enemy down or could be lethal.
Dark Crow I fate stay night unlimited blade works has some great fight scenes
The point fights is often to kill the other...
And rarely does any blow feel like it was intended to gain a fatality or lethal advantage.

like kirito vs heathcliff in sao abridged?
YES. The Final fight between Naruto and Sasuke was goddamned beautiful. It just had so much emotion in every scene, most especially after they used up all their chakra and just go at it with a very simple but brutal fistfight. THE WHOLE FIGHT WAS FULL OF EMOTIOOON.
Tbh the fight was emotionally weak compared to the kakashi vs obito fight
Naruto vs Sasuke isnt very emotionally strong i mean it just gets boring near the end
But at least naruto has a cool fight scenes but not (sorry for my bad english )
Naruto vs Sasuke was the most emotional fight in anime period.
if come to emotionally I think kakashi vs obito is much better, but if it come to fighting scene naruto x sasuke still one of the best. it's really make me hope One Piece was get animated by Pierrot.
The fight itself was superior. The buildup was far worse.

why "saber vs lancer" but not the "kiritsugu vs kirei" ?
K vs K was more emotional and ideologies clashing so without backstory the fight is really just good and not amazing vs L vs S was just gorgeous and amazing
Kiritsugu x kotomine is the best fight ever, hands down

Fuck Yeah this anime has some good fights.
Hunter Jackson that fight between 'National flyweight Champion' Rocky and Hajime was epic.
Butchered the text but it was great!
i'm disappointed gintoki vs takasugi wasn't on this list

4865alex also yes i agree the twist in that fight was insane and voice acting - msuic - animation were top notch wish made it even more emotional
M0HAMED-Immortal At least I don't think he watches it. He's never talked about it or mentioned it in any of his videos. It's possible he started the series but dropped it or something, but I can't imagine him having watched Gintama and won't mention any of the fights from the serious arcs.

Well the game doesn't really suck so it's not that bad of a thing
If you want to see another fight like Naruto vs Sasuke, Gintoki vs Takasugi from Gintama feels like almost the same fight. Just as emotionally charged between two long time friends, the setting is similar, and even at points it boils down to a fistfight all the same. It's one of the best fights I've ever seen on multiple levels.
All of the choices in this video were fantastic though, keep up the dank memes and such, Gigguk.
I totally agree!
Ouh yes this fight gave me goose bumps. I was in pure shock.
(Though I have to be honest I've never watched Naruto so I can't compare them.)
Still, Gintoki vs Takasugi is a fight really worth mentioning. Gigguk probably doesn't watch Gintama.
I absolutely love the complexity and humour of your video. It's obvious you've worked hard for this and it's worth it.
Boros: “I am god! I am the king of this spaceship! I will conquer the universe! I AM IMMORTAL”
Saitama: *Hold my wig*
TaishoAce1001 it's because he posted the dub. That's it. That's literally it. You typed all that for no damn reason
Huh? What are you on about? I never mentioned anything about the dubbing. That's not even part of the point I'm trying to make.
What bwahh stone refers to is that other people are bitching about how Gigguk used the dub.
toadarkflare Why?
THANK U FOR ADDING SWORD OF THE STRANGER... before reaching the end of the video I almost started to think you weren't gonna mention it ;-;
The Naruto fight he points at, is seriously, suprisingly good.
Also watch Boruto the movie if you wanna see how glorious Naruto fight scenes *could've* been
Nom Sauce watch kakashi vs obito.
It makes that fight look like trash.
At choreography, kakashi vs obito is great, but animation wise, the boruto movie still beats it. Not by alot....but it does.
Well, to be honest, the Obito and Kakashi fight has very similar emotional weight with Sasuke and narutos final fight. Both bring to a close a loooooong history of emotion and battles.
I dont really understand, how can you not like the main characters? Why watch the show then xd
That final clash in Naruto still gives me chills
Should have had Gurren Lagann last fight scene somewhere on your list. Fighting with galaxies on top of a galaxy.

Best fight is Ryuk Vs apple
Light vs Potato chip
But what about the fight between Ozai and Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender?! That's the best fight in all _Anime!_

Thanakorn Tanampon I would give that spot to a fight with goemon from lupin the third
You already know I have to stop whatever I'm doing and follow that notification.
It's an incredible scene of a man fighting himself, staying true to his beliefs even after seeing the hell it would bring him
Kira vs chips in death note? That’s THE battle of the mind for me 😂
Kakashi vs Obito final fight was way better in that category imo.
Definitely. Show overall has turned sour but there are some seriously great scenes in it
I agree, that fight was amazing.
Judg3m3nt but Sauskes an Uchiha, in the words of Naruto that makes him a pretty cool guy

It was also the only worthwhile part of that disastrous movie.
A Masochistic Coyote Sorry, that's wrong.
HxH or Jojo better be on that list boi...
As much as i like JoJo, with JoJo it's more about the mind games then the animation
He mentioned both of them, I'm satisfied.

well jojo is exellent in being smart and over the top and since he looked at which fights where most focused in their relative aspect he could not put a jojo fight in there
OVA> TV show

Just about every warrior culture in history (including the samurai) used spears as the primary weapon on the battlefield for good reason. Swords, being easy to carry, were great for EDC self defense and civilian deuling but when trained warriors went to war the spears and polearms were brought out and became the primary weapons.
Haven't watched past the beginning, I predict Sword of the Stranger
Or Trust and Betrayal
It's CHanime Xd
