Susan Hills Yeah. Temps dropped this week. Getting around 10 to 13 highs here in Lincolnshire. But back up to low to mid 20s by end of next week. But like I said, this is spring temps. We should be getting much higher mid Summer.

I just love your videos. You've inspired me to start a small container garden on our back deck up here in New Hampshire, USA. To keep costs down, using rain gutters to grow leaf lettuce, an assortment of lid missing Tupperware, buckets, and trash cans to grow tomatoes, peppers, bush beans, mini eggplant, potatoes, and french carrots. It's coming along so well that my hubby is talking about getting us a Birdies raised bed for next year! YES!!!
If you want to grow extra time. I recomend schedules. Time managment on the farm is critical. As a market gardener i schedule things pretty close so i can have time off now and then. Lol

James Witte I have hand pollinated before. When the bees were stressed out, they were not doing their job. I wasn’t getting anything so I had the bright idea to hand pollinate. The bees are looking good this year though.
I am growing some sweet beans and they all started to have blighted leaves like my tomato's. One web commentator said they might be short on Supfur, so I put my Blueberry's elemental Sulfur down and the new growth is all clear of blight. Perhaps hay/mulch gardens can be low on Sulfur. Put some under my potted capsicum and bullocks heart tomato as their leaves were blighting too. And the new leaves there are solid green now too!
I’m only five minutes into the video and I’m already impressed by the number of volunteer plants: lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, etc, it’s almost like you don’t need to do any gardening . :)

8:25 this is a great tip for intermediate gardeners. I never want to thin or move a guy that's happy growing. But sometimes you just gotta rip them out to grow more stuff for the proper season This is especially affordable when you've been collecting seeds for some seasons. Awesome vids as always mark.

Oh wow. I'm not too far from yourself ... out in Ipswich but we drop quite a bit here. We'll definitely start getting frosty nights heading into winter and if Stanthorpe have copped a cold day, we feel it here. My poor basil almost had a heart attack a few weeks ago but I got him inside in time. 😁 Other than that, I've got the rest of the herbs ready with framed frost/wind protection setup. 👍🌿

Brilliant stuff. Kale is growing fabulous right now and it's even in a shaded spot. On the western side of the house I've got a bunch of Japanese radish, lettuce and carrots... All growing amazingly vigorously. Love the range of plants you've got going and it's a great testiment to how easy it is to grow a decent range of food plants over this time. Inspiring stuff. Keep up the videos, loving it. It's great to see my friends trying their hand at doing a little growing themselves and I have shared these videos with them to also inspire them. It seems to be working.

Since watching ya videos ive set up a decent vegtable garden for myself and am continulaly working towards my dream of setting up some acarage in cairns in the following year or so. I have a pea recommendation. We grow a few of the traditional peas in our spring and fall but the one that we love to grow in the spring is called "Wando". It is a heat tolerant variety that we are able to grow into a bit of our summer extending our pea harvest for a bit longer. We live in central Georgia in the States and have a wicked long summer season but those Wando will grow for a good 3-6 weeks longer than the traditional peas. Love your videos, wife giggles at me each time she hears your intro. God Bless

Hiya Mark , love your channel , I am on the south coast of NSW , my neighbours have been growing and giving me chokos, and as I’m the only one of my family that likes them , several of them had started to shoot ! . I came home from work the other day and my son said that he had planted the triffids! We’ll just have to see how they go , we do get the odd frost here .. never know ! But goodness there’s 4 or 5 plants !!

Thanks for the tour Mark. Our temperature range at the moment in Darwin is around 19 to 32. Too warm for a lot plants, have given up on normal coriander, but the sawtooth variety is doing ok. Other plants are thriving - sweet potato, rock melon, water melon, zucchini, snake beans... mostly using raised beds because our soil is so poor. Lock down has given me the time to go hard in the garden... enjoying your channel!

Mark, have you tried to grow okra? It's a subtropical plant, so it's supposed to grow well out there. I was trying to grow it in Victoria, but it definitely needs more sun time and warmth.
We are in Florida and it will be "winter" next week. I'm growing Purple Top Turnips, Red Leaf Mustard, Fl Broad leaf Mustard, Bell peppers, sweet mini peppers, jalapenos, eggplant, and just planted potatoes, cabbage, lettuce and radishes. Love your channel. 🇺🇸🌴🐊

We got a raw deal, I'm only a couple hours from Bris and we frost regularly. Already had 3 :( coldest we've recorded from memory was -8

Thanks for the tour Mark. Our temperature range at the moment in Darwin is around 19 to 32. Too warm for a lot plants, have given up on normal coriander, but the sawtooth variety is doing ok. Other plants are thriving - sweet potato, rock melon, water melon, zucchini, snake beans... mostly using raised beds because our soil is so poor. Lock down has given me the time to go hard in the garden... enjoying your channel!

Mark, have you tried to grow okra? It's a subtropical plant, so it's supposed to grow well out there. I was trying to grow it in Victoria, but it definitely needs more sun time and warmth.

New deck looks great,mate! I just salvaged some wood from a renovation at work... I've made two raised beds and a ladder for my chicken coop so far! Building is so much fun!
You're growing in a similar climate as mine except I get much more rain and it is 10-15°F cooler. Thank you for the garden update and keep up the great work.
