Absolutely beautiful card! It does take a family to raise a child! Enjoy every minute of every day! And enjoy all the help!!! You can’t imagine how it makes one feel to help with their grandchild. I would do it all over a million times!!!
As usual I love your card and story time. If Eric ever wants to know just how much you love him, all he has to do is watch one of your card tutorials! You tell such a beautiful story about how much love flows back and forth between all of your family and extended family. ❤ I am Blessed in the same way and am very thankful to Jesus for this!
It’s so important to let people help you and you are so blessed to have family support like you do. Raising my kids I was far from family so never had help. And the hubs at that time wasn’t great at helping. So my heart is so lifted when I see families really kick in and support! You do need “me” time… it’s not selfish… it actually helps you be a better you for your family. You’re refreshed. I love what you did with this cover plate…. It is so beautiful! I do appreciate how your brain works! Blessings sweet mama!! 🥰🌴

Your card is beautiful Karen. Good on you for accepting assistance when offered. Parenting is hard but so worth the effort, and you do not have to do it all by yourself. It’s a lovely card - all of that detail! You hit the lottery with Eric. You know, letting other people take care of the baby is also a blessing to them. Speaking as a grandma, babies are babies for such a short time that every moment with them is precious.
Yes he is wise beyond his years! Don’t feel guilty for taking a little time for yourself, you are still there and would be there for any emergencies
Kelly thank you for sharing that. It is hard to raise a child/children, be a wife, mother, daughter, sister, etc. it’s so important to ask for help because everyone feels part of the bigger family as well. Awesome card, the little scene behind the keyhole is so magical but the front, the keyhole panel is my favorite, totally love that.
I too have a wonderful hubby of 42 years that does so much for me, I have healthproblems but when I do all the things he does very slowly and not on the same day I could do it. But he always say to me that the energy I have I have to use for the things I love to do like crafting.
When I hear you talk about Eric, I hear the love in your voice and when I see pictures of the both of you than I see the love in his eyes while looking at you. So glad for the both of you.
Never feel guilty about getting someone to help you.

It's so crazy how sleep changes when you have a baby! Your brain actually changes your sleep forever to help care for baby. Colic is no joke either! Take help where and when you can, guilt is only meant to propel change. My friend says free advice is worth what you pay for it. Lol Thanks for your generous time, your card was beautiful!
That is gorgeous!! My first thought when you showed the card at the beginning was, wow, that looks like leather! I'm so glad you've found someone who truly loves you & is so wonderful to you & Nathan. What a blessing that must be.
Hi Kelly, Thank you for sharing. It really is wonderful when there are other people to give a helping hand when there is a new born in the family and it definitely helps when the new mom doesn’t mind giving up some of the care for the new born to others.
Just love your card! You are extremely lucky and blessed to have a loving and caring husband. You should not feel guilty letting others (trusted family and friends) help you care for your baby. Letting your baby get used to others who love her just as much as you do helps her to socialize. I used to work in an ER and I know as working with the Police how we can focus on the negative we encounter. Remember there are a lot of kind and wonderful people out there also and also remember there is a God who loves you and your family more than you do. Pray to him always for protection and then TRUST HIM.

That is one of your most beautiful cards! I mean, I love all of your cards, but the cover plate just was amazing to see you work up and impressive to see on the finished card! I actually went and ordered the kit midway through the video. That being after I just canceled my monthly script. I'll just have to start up again...
Having a husband, partner, that is perceptive to what makes you, you is a great thing to have in a relationship. It's also so important when there have been life changing events, such as having a baby. To have the time to do what makes you happy, ultimately makes for a happy home. Mom's happy, everyone's happy.

I have been married 41 years and love my husband more and more each day! You both have something very special! Also the plus is to see you on the HERO ARTS !

Lovely card. I missed reading when I had my first child so I ended up reading only paperbacks as I could rest them on her and the pillow she was on while I was feeding her and manage to fit in a bit of reading. I also craft on a tray in front of TV so I don't have to be in my craftroom. Also 10 stars to Eric for his great support. Your family will love the time they get to spend with Kaitlyn and you will feel more yourself so it's a win win situation so don't feel guilty.
I love the keyhole front of this card, is magical. I think all new moms desire a great support system and so glad you have one.

Even though my brother only had the one child he still needed help so I moved down here and moved in. Mason doesn’t know a different life. My SIL is a teacher plus works the morning/afternoon school programs so she works 12 hour days. I take care of the house and help with the kid. I don’t think it takes away from his parents I think it allows for my nephew to be all he can be because we are all helping out. I don’t think it’s fair to the kids to have to be less or do less because the parents are spread thin. I absolutely love the card. You got so much bang for your buck with that cover plate.
Stunning. I love the scene. I love the gate fold idea. Awesome die and the key hole painting really added to this gorgeous card. You are blessed having Eric and I am sure he feels the same. It's awesome that you have him and family to help. Motherhood is touch sometimes no matter their ages.
I should have known better but I didn’t think I liked the stamp set at first but I love what you did with it. As for being on your soap box about your wonder husband , you go girl. I too have an awesome husband of 35 years and I too feel guilty about all that he does but he likes doing things for me and I appreciate it.

I love what you said about “your thing” Being able to recognize your style and stick with it is huge. I cannot color…let me rephrase that. I don’t have the patience to color. I realized this after purchasing Copics, Prismacolor pencils, Faber Castell polychromos, etc😄

Oh Kelly I’m so glad that you’re experiencing a husband that is a true partner. My first husband was not so I guess it was meant to be that I would meet my current husband before I was blessed with starting a family. He is my true partner and was amazing with my daughter who didn’t sleep thru the night more than once in the first two years, she suffered from extreme colic. Anyways I’m just so happy for you! I read these books as well in my childhood just loved them!

Your talk about having kids could literally be me talking. Except I only had one and never settled in to letting people help me. If I had it to do over I’d do exactly what you did.
Motherhood isn’t natural for me. But I’m still a good mom.
And as for the guilt. Women just carry a burden of guilt and I swear it’s brought on by society when we are very young.

After 51 years, partner is the key word...doing life together no one in charge or better than the other...together getting whatever needs done done. When I broke my arm a couple years ago, I could not do anything even getting a shower or just getting dressed even hooking my bra was a no go he DiD EVERYTHING FOR me.
Reminds me also of The Secret Garden (a favorite of mine)

This is a beautiful card. I don’t remember you doing much with Hero Arts products. I probably have about 6 or 7 of their monthly kits. There is one I have I need to get out and make some spring time cards for my friends. I have a couple of friends in Texas that let me know they keep all my cards which makes me feel so good. Take the time for yourself that is offered. I never had that option. 💕
Gorgeous card. I never think to add copics to my stamped images. I’ll have to try that technique soon.
