@Antoine Gordon that's funny. I'm 53. I'd say the same thing about a Pat Metheny or an Elliott Easton, etc etc. Sadly the "artists" that get the most recognition are people like Taylor Swift or Cardi B. Settle down.
Me too. The moment I heard him do stray cat strut, I was owned. Had the privilege of meeting him at a car show in California many moons ago. A true gent, and gifted doesn’t even come close to describing him. Go look at him play Blue Moon of Kentucky on you tube. (The one with the blue background). Blew me away. It took me an hour to recover!
@@dannypembroke2372 Ive loved every incarnation of The Stray Cats, Brian Setzer (with and without) Orchestra the way he handles that Gretsch is amazing and of course Phantom Rocker and Slick!
Known Brian for 45+ years, I might be a bit biased but he is definately one of the best guitarist ever, seen hundreds of his shows on Long Island before he was known, he still makes it look so easy ! Massapequa’s finest !!
Back in '82 he was living in Holland Park, London riding round on his black Panhead chop (on album cover), I met up with him on my old red Shovel Electra and we went to a rock n roll cafe down the A40 (it was called The Ace but not the real one, now restored) - no prima donna, no celeb, just a regular bloke into his Harleys. Hope he still has one, had little idea back then just what a gifted guitarist he was. In the words of Eddie Cochran...cherished memories.
This might be a picture of it here. i.pinimg.com/originals/f2/8e/8f/f28e8fe8ec46e87ddfda75cd61ff781a.jpg He has a a lot of bikes, including a sweet red custom built Triumph
[Verse 1] I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone [Verse 2] When I was just a baby, my mama told me, "Son Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns" But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry [Verse 3] I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars Well, I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free But those people keep a-movin', and that's what tortures me [Verse 4] Well, if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away
Lemme tell ya. Rockabilly is a hell of a lot harder to play than a lot of other genres. Played Prog for ages. it's garbage compared to the likes of Setzer, gene Vincent, Junior brown etc.
This guy deserves much more credit than he gets. True musician.

@Antoine Gordon I get it … it *is* frustrating. 👍
In the top 50 guitarists of all time, I would say. Maybe higher.
@@CheetahSnowLeopard whats a Cardi B, Taylor who?
…and a great showman!
One of the best guitarist on the world..ever...
Brian setzer is a awesome musician.
Got5 my first taste of Brian Setzer as a teenager with the Stray Cats and have been a fan ever since...

Setzer ,one of the best players ln the world , fast and clean , not many can jam with him , ask clapton.
Known Brian for 45+ years, I might be a bit biased but he is definately one of the best guitarist ever, seen hundreds of his shows on Long Island before he was known, he still makes it look so easy ! Massapequa’s finest !!
He gets a glorious tone.
Them TV Jones pickups have a great tone!
RIP Johnny Cash; no doubt you are smiling down!
Man, I almost can't stand how good this guy is.

Truly awesome! Great guitarist (and singer as well....)
The "being" who put the thumb down does not deserve ears or thumbs
Brian Setzer and the crew are Rockin’!
naturally born talent. effortless perfection
HE WAS A WILD GUITAR SLINGER IN '80. Now 2022 watching this posted 4 years ago. Much aged and more polished playing. Always getting better.
Super cool cat....Rockabilly coolness!!!! Great player
Majestic...........
Grandiose
Check out Brian's version of Route 66 Live with his big band orchestra.
He has some made chops.
Absolutely brilliant 👏, went to see the Stray Cats in London 1989,
Fantastic !! 💎🎵🎸

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Brian Sublime Thanks thanks
Legend 🌠
That was mighty.
Tremendo, no me alcanzan los likes... excelentes las notas graves al final de las frases en Folsom Prison... un exceso de onda
Love it
Johnny Cash 😀👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Faudrait pas oublier de le mettre dans les plus grands guitaristes de tous les temps. Epatant est son nom
カッコイイイィ〜〜!!!
doesn't get nearly enough credit for the guitarist he is, blending so many styles, and making it his own.
Brian HUGE
Like any top pro he makes it look effortless
[Verse 1]
I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
[Verse 2]
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, "Son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
[Verse 3]
I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars
Well, I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin', and that's what tortures me
[Verse 4]
Well, if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away
3:03 Folsom Prison Blues
Guitar hero , makes a Gretch sing
