Very good review of the RK96. I bought mine about 8 months ago and I love it. I´m using it to type this. The only changes I have made to it have been that I added polyfill to the bottom of the case to give it a fuller sound (it´s very easy to open up) and since it has north facing LEDs, I got nice set of shine through keycaps and the RGB looks amazing, specially at night. But it´s bright enough that you can see it clearly during the day. For the price, it´s very hard to go wrong with the board.
No they are not shine through. I discuss the keycaps from the 4:30 mark to 5:56 including that the legends are all yellow and thus do not allow RGB to shine through them.
That’s a really tough call… I think I use the RK96 a bit more regularly because the linear switches are lighter and quieter while still satisfying to type on. But I love the custom purple tactile switches on the K656. They’re definitely my favorite switch. They’re so thocky and the feedback is awesome! They are a bit heavy to game with especially for long periods of time and they’re loud which is more of an issue if you game online with friends. If I’m really in a typing mood I’ll switch over to the K656, it’s excellent for that.
I've also enjoyed my one RK Royal Kludge keyboard that I have purchased. I own a RK68 and it works phenomenally. One of my favorite keyboards I've ever owned honestly. The only other competitor is an IROK FE75pro. I recommend upgrading the stock switches on both though.

All that sounds awesome! Good to know this keyboard is easy to work on too.
A keyboard that has all the keys is what I need, this is an awesome keyboard.
It’s definitely a good solid keyboard
Pre-built keyboards are getting much better.
Where is the software download for Macs? My short cuts changed and I need to change them back.
As a note, many RK keyboards can be factory reset without the software, by holding Fn + spacebar for a few seconds. Hope this helps.
That’s a great bit of info for everyone, thanks! 🙏
Does this have shine through key caps?
Why no reviewer talks about it. It's a big thing for people who work in dark environments
yes

Just saw your previous review on Redragon K656. Which keyboard is your preference aside from colorway?

Thanks for the reply! You've just convinced me into getting the 656 instead. Plus having PBT keycaps out the of the box is better I guess.

I hope you enjoy it!!
is RK Kludge good?
This is my first keyboard from them and I think it’s exceptionally good. As for more of their budget offerings I can’t say.
