I have been riding for a long time but not actually riding correctly. Once I understood how much tone is required I am astonished at how much of a jelly rider I have been! Thank you for these short and informative snippets they are much appreciated :-)
I have only had like idk 4 lessons and I have been learning post/rising trot and I have been watching these videos and it looks so much easier on tv or TH-cam than it is really!

yes! I think there is a bit of an obsession with 'heels down' with some trainers, without good reason/knowing why. especially annoying if you have an injury and are therefore physically unable to get heels down a long way - you should still be able to ride.
Wow this actually really helped me!! I’ve been riding for a long time now and I’m very good at posting but my trainer has always stressed the heels down so much!! But you can have your heels down if your squeezing with knees be then everything is stable

Remember, the rider is only ask good ask the instructor. As Mr Miyagi said from Karate Kid "no such thing as bad student, only bad teacher".
