lens coatings are likely made of gelatin, just like the gelatin sheets used as coloring light filters and effect removable filters in front of a camera lens,which when exposed to mold, is eaten, and ruined, I'm thinking those sold on Ebay are gelatin with mold damage lenses. Leaving fingerprints on the lens can haze the gelatin coatings, not all coatings are the same, they may even be made of something else other than gelatin, I'm just giving my best guess. MFR's may not even tell us what they are made of.
I am assuming that they both have exactly the same lens as well then? I'm not a huge fan of the fish eye style lens, but I bought a SJ4000 WiFi anyway since I didn't have much experience with anything other than my phone camera. After playing with it for a bit, it turns out I really dislike the fish eye thing... Is there anything that can be done to make the lens more traditional or should I just get a new cam? Thanks.
Got mine today, I want to mention a bug.. I was playing around with the side buttons for zooming in and out... which worked fine. However, on playback of the video the microphone picks up the sound of the pressed buttons and screams with a loud CLICK! on every press of the button. You can hear the sound as you press... but the microphone amplifies very loudly... maybe not a bug, if you plan on editing with voice overs and music later.. but zooming in.... REALLY LOUD NOISES. latest firmware.
How long is M10 live time while recording? And could this camera used to be a webcam? I didn't see those things in your video, unlike usual. Or might be you spoke it I dont know, my speaker is currently damaged

There's so many video cameras available out there its difficult to choose, so I really appreciate your channel, do you know of a cheaper but decent video camera with the extension mic option. I'm looking but can't seem to find one... the Gopro has it but its more than I was hoping to spend. Finally do you know if the Medium and Narrow view option view in Gopro is any good? tia

I brought an SJCAM M10 a few days ago and it has already arrived but I'm still waiting for the microSD to arrive! I'm going to use the setting your recommended as they seem to look good. Thanks for the video, it helped me find out abouat the camera.
