Yeah, I remember reading about all those times in WWI and WWII where destroyers totally owned battleships by spraying twenty torpedoes at them at once from a few hundred yards away...and then doing it again a minute later...it happened all the time.

They spend huge amounts of time and money to recreate ships in a high level of detail that are a part of history, make historical references in the descriptions of each ship, use real people who actully took part in the conflicts of WW I and II all implying historical accuracy is at least somewhat important here and then turn around with silliness like torpedo spamming destroyers or nigh unstoppable subs.
It's the game, itself, that is sending mixed messages. I'm just commenting on them. And I'm not saying it has to be 100% historically accurate but excessive liberties shouldn't be taken either or it gets confused and ridiculous.
@@177SCmaro true, but also they added fictional ships. Ships that were renamed from a another faction, suddenly is completely different from the original.
And let's not just ignore all the wonky 'plans' the USSR suddenly had, and are now 'real ships' in wows.
Just cause some elements are graphically accurate to history, doesn't mean the game is as a whole.
Wows is buggy, fictional and money grabbing - it may not have started like that, but that's what it is known for now

It sounds like you're agreeing with my point about what the game should be.
I don't have a problem with "what if" ships like Montana that were planed and never built put into the game as that would fall under "reasonable liberties" (and it could be a lot of fun to see ships that came close to being, but never were, in action). But, yeah, ships there were never even planned yet put into the game is silly. Pure fiction as far as I'm concerned, as opposed to fiction based on history.
And I agree that what the game is now, because they've gone way too far in some places, in many ways bears little resemblance to actual naval warfare and is indeed "money grabbing" in many ways, too many ways.
