Where Marilyn Monroe Lived From 1926 Until 1933

  • In this house, Norma Jean had the most stable HOME ENVIRONMENT in her whole short, sad life... It is thankfully still in the INTACT, ORIGINAL STYLE EXACTLY as it LOOKED the day Norma Jean left it in 1933... It is at 4201 W. 134TH STREET in the city of HAWTHORNE CA... It's original address before the city RENUMBERED IT'S STREETS DUE TO REDISTRICTING in the 1940's WAS- 459 E. RHODE ISLAND STREET... PARDON MY "RUN IN" WITH THEEEEEEEE NEIGHBORS!!!.... After THREE TRIED FOR FILMING SHOTS BEFORE while I had been VERBALLY ABUSED BY SAID NEIGHBORS, I DECIDED TO UPLOAD THIS VIDEO "AS IS" BECAUSE I DIDN'T NEED, NOR DESERVE ANOTHER NEIGHBORLY CONFRONTATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These persons get VERY VIOLENT FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON WHEN I VIDEOTAPE FOR POSTERITY... But I shall be vindicated for saving ON VIDEO these "HISTORICAL LANDMARKS" 20 YEARS FROM NOW I DO HOPE!!!... "Cause I do know that then; most of these place shall BE GONE!!!.......................................

    You are recording from a public street you have the law on your side. I love history and youtube gives the opportunity for the ordinary citizen to bring documentaries that no big studio are willing to put out. This is educational and time well spent.

      Although he absolutely does, as the homeowner of this property it has become annoying. We are really now thinking of tearing down and remodel completely and asking for our address to change. We appreciate the history but please understand that at times we do have solicitors that are very scary asking to see the inside of our home where a senior and children reside.

    • @lynisganda01

      You should be happy you own a former home of Marilyn Monroe. It is historic. Why would you remodel ? I understand that you might get annoyed by constant attention but surely you knew that would come with the territory if you bought a former Marilyn Monroe home. I think you need to chill out.

    • @jakevendrotti1496
      @jakevendrotti1496 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@idkman8962 no. It's not "that's what you get" because people have a right to their privacy and safety. If this is a historic house, then why aren't you fundraising to buy it? I don't see anybody here talking about turning anything into a museum, for all her fans. Let the city designate it as a historic property. The people who bought the exorcist house in DC had to fully remodel put up a huge cement wall and lots of plants and they still have people pointing and staring that walk by and that's for one blockbuster fiction from the 1970s. Marilyn Monroe is an iconic American figure, so if any of these properties mean anything to you people then buy them yourselves. But don't tell private homeowners. They should be answering the door to every stranger and letting them in. That is insanity.

    Thank you for doing this vid. That house should be a historic landmark. The anger is so expected. My brother and his wife went to her childhood home and snapped a few pictures. Someone came out of their house totally enraged. They spoke nice to him and showed old B/W pics of her in front of the house, and it made no difference. He was told to just go away. I can see concern, but to be enraged is a little too much. What threat is it really? Well, by the walls and bars in typical LA style, I guess the residents are completely paranoid. You have to feel somewhat sorry for them.

That was in 1947 he lived in Hawthorne and got married in Hawthorne to his first wife which was my girlfriend in high school I asked her what happened to Sammy she said she's still going with him and then married him. Didn't you know when you decided to move into that house that Marilyn lived there at one time? Seems like any real estate agent would know that and use it as a selling point and if so then you should've realized that people would probably be interested in it and want to take pics and videos of it and if that would bother you then its not a good choice of house for you and you should've maybe chosen a different house to live in. Its like whenever celebrities complain about paparazzi taking their photos all the time.. they knew the job when they took it. If they wanted a private life they shouldn't have become a celebrity.

    Maybe it Would've been a good idea to actually get off the car and tried to EXPLAIN to those people why you were "filming" there and that house in Particular. And of course people like that Are Ignorant, it's not like they make it a point to study the past & History of the families that lived in that Property past or present including anybody who became Famous and a timeless icon like Marilyn Monroe. One more thing in these times people are very Suspicious nobody trust each other anymore + you could tell from the area if not the neighborhood that Clearly it is a low income working class suburb where people have things to hide about themselves & their families, therefore the Paranoia.
    PS. Judging from your accent it's sounds like you know spanish, so if you do I suggest you use it

    I don't think I would like someone mooching near my home taking photos...you can zoom in with those cameras to the point you can see inside a window. Also, if I was outside gardening, you have no right to take pictures where I could be included without my permission. I can understand the owners being slightly perturbed as you are encroaching on their privacy without their permission within their boundary.....Don't you understand that?...Would you like someone hanging round where you lived, zooming into a window with a camera taking photos invading your privacy just because someone famous lived there?...Marilyn/Norman Jean has passed, leave her in peace for Christ's sake and stop being nosy, other people live there now!
