- Welcome to our first day in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
In this video, we are arriving in Vietnam for the first time. Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN)
We finally travel to Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, to experience the chaos that is Vietnam for the very first time! We eat local street food, go shopping at Ben Thanh Market, chat with locals, eating Vietnamese foods along the way, such as Pho, Banh mi, Bun cha, Banh bao, Ca phe sua and more in the heart of HCMC, Vietnam

Await to welcome you back to Thailand. ❤❤
Enjoy Vietnam trip 🎉🎉
Thank you so very much 😃❤️🫰🙏! Definitely will be back to Thailand ❤️❤️🫰🫰!
If you’re currently in Vietnam, there is japan town hidden in alleyways. Ben Nghe street food hall. Central Underground food hall. These are right in downtown, District 1. Ho Thi Ky Night market in alleyways in district 10. Thao Dien in D2. China town in D5. Korea town in D7. Saigon is a big city. You might wanna get out of downtown and explore. Best way to do it is using a food tour guide.
Thank you so much for the recommendations 😃❤️🫰🙏! Really appreciate them ❤️❤️🫰🫰
The first time I visited Saigon, I was shocked by the numbers of motorcycles on streets of Vietnam. I thought Bkk has too many motorcycles, but it cannot compare to Vietnam. Some intersections don’t even have traffic lights, but those cars and motorcycles know how to get around each other even from different directions. I was amazed !! I ended up spending 2 mores hours sitting in a cafe right at an intersection watching motorcycles flow (without traffic light). 😂😂One suggestion when crossing roads in Vietnam, do not look back or turn back, just keep walking to the other side, the traffic will find its way around you. 😅😅
Right!!?? Us too!! 55555!!!
You’re absolutely on point. Whatever you experienced is exactly what we experience for the first time too. It’s so crazy in Vietnam 😬😬😅😅.
Vietnamese food are delicious too...( I love too )
Enjoy & have a good time...👍
❤ Frm. Thailand...
Right!!?? It’s delicious! However, definitely miss Bangkok 😉.
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏!
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I wanted to stay at New World last year when I visited VN with my family. Looking forward to your next adventures. Stay safe and enjoy Vietnam.
It’s absolutely our pleasure 😃
It’s a beautiful hotel and their service is outstanding. Thank you so much for the love and support 😃🫰❤️🙏
Vietnamese traditional coffee, its beans are roasted until they are over burned more than other kinds. So, the taste and smell becomes its signature. My French grandfather love its taste and smell a lot.
For my 1st time tasting, I feel the coffee's taste like coffee with a kind of caramel. 🙂
Really!!?? That’s so fascinating! Didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing 😃❤️🫰🙏!
We would have to agree and their coffee is so strong and delicious 😁
I’ve never been to Vietnam 🇻🇳 I’m glad to explore it together with you guys from this episode 😊
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏
Appreciate you coming along ❤️❤️🫰🫰 Will soon be back to Thailand 😁.
เที่ยวให้สนุกนะครับ TH
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏!
I've heard that there's Cha Tra Mue (Thai Tea) branch in Vietnam but don't know where the shop is. Have a good journey and a safe trip in Vietnam.
Really!!?? Wow! That’s interesting. Thank you so much and see you soon in Thailand 😉😃😁❤️🫰🙏!
the bánh mỳ and bún thịt nướng place you eat is the most expensive one :) it's a reason for that's price.
Really!!?? 😅 We wish we had known someone like you to show us the ropes around Vietnam. We have no clue. We’re just foreigners that don’t know 😁.
Banh mi looks yummy!
It was AMAZING! We could eat that everyday for sure 🤤🤤🤤.
@@ChovyTravel Banh mi welcome to sell in Thailand 5555
They really need to sell BanhMi in Thailand. I think it would be a major hit! Especially with the foreigners.
I had those rolls from banh mi Ho. I only got through half the roll. They were really, really rich. And i almost felt sick after.
And go to the gold place to exchange money too, at the market. It's outside.
I think half is perfect. I think the Pate might me a bit too strong for you 🤔. I do have to agree! It was a bit rich. Maybe I would’ve felt like you if I had a full one by myself 🤷.
Yes! We heard about that. Thank you so very much 😃❤️🫰🙏!
They said when crossing streets in Vietnam you just walk straight to the outer end with your eyes closed that way you’ll be safe all bikes will avoid you.😅😅😅
😂😂😂 That’s literally it! It’s crazy in Vietnam! Totally Anxiety!
Keep the same speed though! Haha 🙃
😂😂😅😅 For sure.
As time goes on, you do get used to the traffic. Crossing does get a bit easier but still scary.
Wow. Finally you're out of the Thailand. Welcome to Vietnam❤
😁😁😁 Thank you for the welcome! We never had Vietnamese food like this ever! I grew up eating Vietnamese food because of my friends but eating it in Vietnam is on another level 🤤🤤🤤.
HELO..XIN CHÀO TO VIỆT NAM 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
..CHÚC CHUYẾN DU LỊCH HCM CTY VUI VẺ..
..LOVE ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so very much 😄🥹🙏! Appreciate the kind words ❤️❤️🥰🥰.
555 you guys are in Ho Chi Min and still speaking Thai!!. You miss TH 🇹🇭 right? 😉😊
😅😅😅😁😁😁
A man who cleaning shoes, when
your turn a camera to him I saw his eyes I almost cry
cause I feel sad for him. Giving him 10-20 baht would be nice at least
he is not a scammer.
Have a good time in Vietnam😊
Yeah that was a bummer. You’re so sweet. I think if the guy didn’t want it he should’ve left a lot sooner before he started cleaning his shoes.
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏!
My Thai cousin is going to vietnam
in the next 4-5days. Actually, she lives in New York, she comes to Thailand to visit her grandma at the moment.
We wish her the best of luck lol 😅. That’s sweet of her to come to Thailand to see her grandma. We like Vietnamese Food but the environment is quite crazy and hectic 😬.
I suggest to go to Danang and Hoi-an. Saigon is a place for living and working, not visiting. But, Hoi an is defenitely worth to visit. VN People also nice
Thank you so much for the recommendation 😃❤️🫰🙏
We do want to visit Danang and Hanoi! Never heard of Hoi-An. That’s new! Thank you so much for the suggestion! Vietnamese people are very nice! Hospitality was great! The traffic is what gave me a bit of anxiety 😬. We’re definitely going back to Vietnam to visit for sure 😁. Thank you again ❤️❤️🫰🫰🙏🙏
22:50 This is "Bun thit nuong" not "Bun Cha" these two dishes look similar but the taste is very different :)
You’re absolutely right! 😁 Thank you so much for the clarification 😃❤️🫰🙏
@@ChovyTravel Hope you have time to try "Bun Cha" and I look forward to your review and feedback. Have a good trip
Thank you so much for the recommendation and for being so kind 😃❤️🫰🙏
Grab pick up point is actually just across the pedestrian walkway where you took the taxi at the airport. Your grab app would’ve shown you the correct price plus possibly 10000 dong airport fee. Next time 😊. The grab pick up point you were talking about is in the undercover car park in the domestic terminal next door.
Really!!?? 😂. Thank you so much for letting us know. We will be sure to try Grab next time 😃🫰❤️🙏
Join the 'Banh mi' festival from May17to 19 if you still in Vietnam
Aww man! 😔😔😔 We won’t be there. Banmi Festival would’ve been amazing! Maybe we can go next year. Do they have it every year?
That was bún thịt nướng not bún chả and you have to drenched the sauce into your bowl not for dipping
Got it! Thank you for the clarification 😃🫰❤️🙏.
Avoid use big note to buy at vendors your change will rip off.
Makes sense! Appreciate the tip 😃❤️🫰🙏 Thank you so much!
Have a nice trip in Vietnam.
If possible I would like to know how do you payment for your dog abroad to overseas
Thank you 🙏! Traveling to each country has their own requirements and it’s not cheap. Need to go to a vet too prior to flying. It’s a process 😅.
Pay attention, next time you cross the street don't run, walk confidently, wave lightly if there are cars, they will automatically avoid you, just walk confidently and everyone will feel like they are going on an expedition , lol ;))
I know, right!!?? 😁
Thank you so much for the tip 😃🫰❤️🙏. I think as foreigners it’s such a culture shock that it’s gonna take us traveling there a few more times to get used to it 😅
I was watching your Bangkok series since first your first day there. I am looking forward for the same travel route as you. To be honest, 300K is not too bad from airport to district 1 :D, grab would take around 250k
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏! That’s good to hear 😁.
Really!? We weren’t sure. Based on Grab it showed in the low 100K so we thought it was up there but we just wanted to hurry up and go to our hotel and start the day 😁.
@@ChovyTravel I am from Saigon but moved to Europe for a while. I always rent private car to take me home because I don’t like taxi. But your video shows me the trick, I will just need to pick up the car there and much cheaper than private car rental. Thanks for that 😻Grab is a bit tricky to pick up at the airport.
Btw, the lemon drink that you took was salted lemon juice, good for refreshing under the heat. And the green custard was green rice flakes (specialty from the North Vietnam)
Ahh Very Interesting! Glad we were of help 😁.
Yeah, we heard Grab is a far walk to get to the Grab pick up zone.
Thank you so much for the clarification. We weren’t sure about the drink and green custard 😃❤️🫰🙏 Much appreciated!
I want to try Banhmi .น่าอร่อยขนมปังกรอบ
It’s amazing! Never had such an amazing Banmi in our lives 🤤🤤🤤
You have to try it in Vietnam
🇻🇳😀✌️
Thank you 😃🫰❤️🙏. Beautiful country, people and delicious food 🤤🤤🤤
Hanoi old town the best
We definitely want to hit Hanoi in the future 😃.
well, Obama did it well misleading people.
The noodle dish with spring roll and grilled pork is not bún chả, it's bún thịt nướng for easy to understand its southern version, it's mixing dish with sweet fish sauce than the northern.
In Vietnam, we have the same dish not really the same it's change name and the way it's make or taste depend on with region you are on.
That totally makes sense 😁
Bun Thit Nuong, Thank you for the correct name 🙏.
เมืองหลักๆของเวียดนาม สามารถใช้เงินบาทได้ครับ
What!!?? Really!? They accept Baht as payment? That’s so cool. Didn’t know that.
It was a good idea to visit Thailand first to adjust yourself to the SEA environment. Hopefully, you now have less culture shock in Vietnam.
Thailand was a great stepping stone but I don’t think we expected it to be so crazy in Vietnam. It’s a huge culture shock 😬. Great experience though 😅.
ตี่นเต้นมาก😮
Ic 😁😃❤️🫰🙏
Many souvenirs imported from Thailand to Vietnam.
That totally makes sense 😃.
33:01 seriously this is five stars hotel gym?
Right!!?? 😅
@phanomkongker5060 there are 5-star hotels that don't even offered gyms. it had everything you need to get a good workout. plenty of free weights, benches, multi-functional machine, a dip bar, and enough of cardio equipment. if you really want a hard-core gym while vacationing, sign up for gym near by then.
Really!!?? Oh wow! Didn’t know that 🙏
You know you’re Asian when you ask for complimentary things 😂
Ya damn right! 😂😂😂
Where is your dog ? You come to Vietnam
We put him in boarding in Thailand. Only in Vietnam for 3 Days. I think we’re more attached so it was hard to leave him but he loves boarding 😅. He’s very social so he likes other dogs.
กลับมาเที่ยวที่ไทยแลนด์อีกนะคะ
We definitely will 😃! Just doing a small Vietnam Trip before we look more for other options to stay in Thailand longer 😁.
nhiều nhà máy )đến việt nam ) đồ dùng nhiều là đúng?
That makes sense! Definitely a lot 😃.
Where is your dog?
He’s at boarding. We could have someone watch him for us but he really enjoys socializing with other dogs 😁.
Its doesn't seem 5 star hotel to me the room seem small I went to bangkok lotus Sukumwit hotel last month 3.5 star was much much better
Right!!?? 😅 We don’t have any other experience as far as being in a 5 Star Hotel but we expected more. Service was 5 Star though 😁.
Didnt you bring a dog to Thailand?
Yes! He’s at boarding until we come back. We have a hard time leaving him but he actually enjoys boarding since he’s so social with other dogs. Doesn’t even matter the size of the dogs. He likes small ones and really large ones 😂.
ประเทศเวียดนามกับประเทศอินเดีย ประเทศไหนข้ามถนนยากกว่ากัน?😂😂😂
OoO I wouldn’t know because we never been to India 🤔
Honestly, we started to slowly get used to crossing the streets in Vietnam 😅😅😅
Slowly but surely 😁
stay away from touristy trap place, never go to the place the internet tell you that's famous :)
That’s true but it was our first time so we just went to the touristy spots 😅.
Both of u good thresh.😊
Thank you so much 😃❤️🫰🙏
Vietnam is growning country in term of developing everything.Affecting of bad political environmet in south east asia contries so many investers move to Vietnam espicially us and japan. With low wages and many of young people and high population that is around 100 millions make veitnam is interesting for investment.Thailnad is already be the society of aging country like japan.Form the news it said Vietnam will surpass thailand in next 10 years.
That makes a lot of sense and sounds like a great investment for the future 😃.
@@ChovyTravel There is a Korean community of more than 250K living in Vietnam. There are many Korean neighborhoods in Hochiminh city such as District 7. You can Google many Korean restaurants in Vietnam. Korea is also one of the top 3 largest investing countries in Vietnam. Most Korean worldwide corporations have chosen Vietnam, especially Samsung with an investment of nearly 30 billion USD. Korean and Vietnamese culture have many similarities..
That’s crazy. Didn’t know there are so many Koreans living in Vietnam. I have heard of them doing business there but didn’t think anything of it 🤔. Very interesting! Thank you so much for sharing 😃🫰❤️🙏
ฉันหวังว่าคุณจะกลับมาเที่ยวภาคเหนือและภาคใต้ของไทยนะ 🙂
100%. Just a small trip to Vietnam before going back to Thailand 😁. Can’t stay in Thailand without a Visa for too long so we had to take a trip somewhere.
@@ChovyTravel If the south of thailand you should go to Phuket and Krabi.PiPi island is famous in krabi.and Phuket has many local food and you can flight to Malaysia just about 1 hour from the south of thailand.
Sounds like a good plan! Appreciate the recommendation ❤️❤️🫰🫰
We also would like to visit Malaysia in the future.
