- I ferried a 1942 PT-22 from West Houston airport to Sacramento California. On my first stop I met up with my good friend Andrew king, who was flying a Great lakes biplane to a airport a couple hours North of Sacramento. We flew over 1700 miles and made 21 fuel stops along the way. #warbird #aviator #biplane #wwii #pilot #ferrytrip
Hey Dewey, glad you're back, watched all your videos, sold my Champ 7ac in 2000,just bought it back and have put 3hrs on it,22yrs since I flew.Keep those Champ videos coming.I will be 73 next week, don't tell anybody, lol.Richard from Delaware
Nice to see you again.
Love the Vintage stuff.
Excellent Dewey ! I think a day in the life of Dewey video here and there would be AWESOME !!
Flew right over my home airport Visalia, CA.
Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!
I started my flight training (again) in Kerrville last year in a Champ! Circumstances forced me to transition to training in a DA40 elsewhere, but your video brought back some great memories.
really neat aircraft.. the PT-22 looks great!
Glad your OK!
Glad to see you’re back making flying videos again !
Amen in keeping the old stuff flying bro. I just went out in my Cub today. 😁👌🏼 Thanks for the update!
Dewey! Greetings from the avenge days. Hope all is well.
Great to see you again l love your ferry flights and love antique airplanes. I’ll be in New York in April and use the visit to go to Rhinebeck Aerodrome and take a ride in the Old Standard. Safe travels
What q cool little airplane. I really look forward to this series and glad to see you're doing well brother
As always thanks for bringing us along. I also look forward to coming out and flying with you again this summer 👍😁
Thanks so much Kevin. It takes so much work to get a video edited, but this time it was fun looking at all the old stuff that I have saved on a hard drive. I actually started piecing the next video together.
Thanks for bringing us along on another adventure, Dewey. I know you don't like that camera due to audio problems, but 5:24-5:34 was a real Walter Mitty pocketa-pocketa sound! :)
Glad to see you back!
It feels good to actually sit down and do a video.
21 fuel stops! Yikes! :)! Guess they were designed for primary training, not cross country!
Nothing better than an old antique aircraft! You're a true old school aviator, Dewey! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
SO cool -- such a great adventure! Thanks for keeping aviation history alive and sharing it! (BTW, I'm Will's wife - he so enjoyed flying with you recently!)
Thanks Dewey. Really appreciate the content and hope you can keep it up between job, family, and flying time! It is so nice to see “back to basic” flying in a positive and inspiring way.
It was so good to see one of your new videos. It seems like it's been forever. I always enjoy them. You talked about how antiques are becoming fewer. I guess where I live is the exception. We are only half an hour (by air in a slow L-3) from Antique Field at Blakesburg, IA. So most airplanes around here are vintage. A "new" airplane would be something like a mid-60's Cessna 172. Looking forward to the next segment. Thanks for continuing to make videos.
I’m glad other people love the champ videos as much as I do! As always, great videos! Will you be heading to Oshkosh this year?
I plan on being at Oshkosh...
@@DeweyDavenport awesome! It’s will be my first time there this year, it’s a little far from Australia 😂 Hope to see you there!
