    Wow, shashamane has changed from when I lived there with my dad. Just seeing this and I can remember my father telling me about exactly what is happening now back then when I went to Ethiopia to live with him in the 80's , I was young and never understood what he was talking about but he planted that seed and Now I see as Babylon is falling down people are trying to repartriate to Africa. My father did what he had to do to prepare for the return of the people and I am so proud of him that he made a sacrifice and did what the most high put in him to do and his hard work and sacrifice was done so that my brother and I and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren have a home to go to when the west fall. Love you daddy and thank you 🙏

    I think you the interviewer is quite a patient and focus person. You did an excellent job in the struggle to keep the interview on track so that we the viewers can make some sense out of it .

      Desmond had an immediately profound impact on me. His vision, charisma, genuineness, and his unwavering focus on the repatriation exercise are indelibly imprinted in my consciousness. His, and his colleagues', commitment to the repatriation initiative has yielded and will continue to yield various successes in the future. I wholeheartedly wish them all the best.
      Respek and blessings.

    After 40 yrs in Ethiopia and having kids there yet no citizenship is appalling and rid a human for his love for his nation. Someone in the Ethiopian parliament circuit should highlight this and get this man his human and constitutional rights.

    Ragga SHANTI , I met brother Desmond in November 2018 when i visited Ethiopia for the first time and he was telling me the same thing i hear he saying to you that Jesus is Higher them H.I.M. So i had to let he know that no one can not be higher dan Girmawi wish mean first man. Qe'damawi wish mean first King. the European did not say in the beginning the word was with H.IM Instead they use god wish is dog backward because if they use the word H.I.M The world would realized who His Majesty is, so i was the one that let brother Desmond and the rest of the Rastafarians know this fact so if you should ever talk Desmond again am sure he wouldn't talk that way again
    Haile Selassie the first. is Power of the holy Trinity wish is one in three and three in one, wish means Father, Son, and holy Spirit, so H.I.M IS the heights the Almighty with no apologies.

    Oromo tribe claimed the Shashemene and Ormo's themselves they stall the land on 18th century, Addis Ababa on 13th century from other minorities like the Gurages , but Gurages love and respect the Rastafarians so much. Guys get a licensed gun for self-defense because now you are Ethiopian that means you have the right to defend yourselves. This is Oroms pure envy and we deeply sadden by what happened to the gentleman.

    Relocating from Jamaica to Ethiopia is like jumping from frying pan into the fire.
    Selassie, the supposed Messiah persecuted and starved his own people to death, then turned around and grant free land to weed smoking long hair foreigners. I’m confused

    He wants to be Ethiopian but he doesn't want his children to fight for ethiopia in times of war.?....foolishness. He doesn't deserve ethiopian citizenship for that traitorous remark.

    • @XalaalSomalis
      @XalaalSomalis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the ’80s, young adults were being drafted to fight in essentially a civil war. Those national drafts didn’t follow any logic. Even the locals who normally would fight for the country were unhappy, often hiding their children from being drafted. It was so traumatic for parents to lose children not old enough to fight to national draft. And it was worse for the children. I believe he was referring to that experience and not necessarily now.
      I found him to represent Ethiopia in a way that very few would represent it. I enjoyed it!
