The problem is that a lot of modern black women do not value family anymore ,their love is for money and freedom.

How is that a problem ? No one wants to be a slave anymore . Everybody wants freedom and money. You want to go sit at a pub with your boys..whiles she is stuck at home everyday with kids screaming everywhere 😂 never!!!

That’s one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that many “modern black women” have been able to invest in themselves and their education, so they have decided that if they are being mistreated in bad marriages, they are now capable of exiting the marriage and taking care of themselves and children independently. In the past, these same women felt that they had no other options and had to remain in toxic and unproductive marriages because they may have been unable to support themselves. Thank God for education!

I say this respectfully but the right person is what matters. She mentioned a word I like "Compatibility" and that has nothing to do with a white or black man. And besides we have only heard one side of the story as someone training to be pastor most people don't understand the Asafo maame role. That role in it self is a calling, I have had 2 women who have turned me down because they don't want to be married to a pastor and I did understand. So please think outside the box, her mistake is not dating properly to find out if they shared a vision so she should also take some responsibility. There are always two people in a relationship.

How can you compare the white culture versus black culture? If caring is all you want in a relationship, go ahead. Don't come back crying like a pussy cat when the shit hits the fan. It's your choice. Go for it. Remember that a goat can bleat like a sheep but can never be a sheep. Good luck.

Compatibility is really important in every relationship but sadly, you only realise you're two very different people after the marriage. For instance, you can't be a serious minded person only to be dealing with someone who is not on a daily basis. You can try to make sacrifices as much as you want but there's so much a person can take. Focus on the present moment and work on making the future better. All the best!

@DJNyame what this lady is saying contributes to the 80% of failed marriage for those in diaspora. Where to call home and try to own properties there. Only 0.5% children born in diaspora will return but we parents have big properties back home. This deprive the children of their inheritance and cause a lot conflict in marriages. That's what leads to couples fighting over child benefit because building back home is not cheap.

Oh, sorry. It will definitely be difficult, but I would reframe it and rather than saying “walking away from your kids”, you are establishing separate living arrangements in order to be the best version of yourself for your kids. As much as you think you are currently present for your kids, they are seeing an unhappy and unfulfilled father, even though you might think you are hiding it from them. Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best.

I really enjoyed her interview. She was honest about the relationship and life in Italy. She spoke her truth, and was very eloquent.
Born and partially raised in the U.S., Black women in general are loyal to the idea of "Black Love." Therefore, I always find it refreshing when some choose to date outside.
I also find it comical that some of the commenters, which I presume are men are upset she's choosing to date outside her race. She stated her reasons...dasall. Wishing her all the best 🙌🏿
