This was my joining story that started in Boot. I was sick, and completely failed my Seal screening. You only get one shot in Boot. I kept getting "azmo'd" back a few classes because I told them I wanted out, and that I was wasting my time in there. They convinced me I'd eventually get another shot at it if I stayed, and became over-qualified. I was dumb, and decided to continue. I was sent to an indoc school without options, and then sent to a ship in war, and they denied every request I gave to screen again, because they "couldn't lose the manpower", and I was an "essential qualified personal". I went straight to the top of my chain, and showed every piece of paperwork full of promises given, and every excuse that was given back. I told them Respectfully, that the military fucked me, and wasted years of my life. I told them that I wanted out immediately, and I didn't care in what way. They just signed a very easy dd214 right there. They didn't even make me wait out the 4 years. They weren't even mean about it. 3 weeks later, I was flown off, I turned in my ID, and I never looked back. If you're going to join. Join for the right reasons. They'll put you where they need you if you don't go directly into the Rate you want.

Literally just turn bootcamp into a game in your head! Over exaggerate everything. Like if they yell at you, scream ‘yes petty officer’ (or chief) and when you get beat do the same. It won’t make sense now, but when you get there it will. Trust me. It takes away the stress, and makes it fun.
Learn how to March it’s easy. Don’t be an idiot and overthink it. Learn how to fold clothes because that’s what you do there most of the time 🤣. STUDY!!! Don’t do dumb shit. I was nervous asf and now that I look back it was the easiest thing I did. Trust me you’ll be ok.
dumb question but do you have to know your general orders word by word? i’m really bad at memorizing word by word and always end up shortening things. will people be asking you what they are word for word?

Ok Quick question, When you join the Navy while going to University College at the same time. Would you also have your own time to train without just training during navy? Like we couldnt go to Gyms and stuff like that?
@Felipe Cozachevici, depends on how you learn. Some repeat them out load, others read them over, but most write them out over and over again. It makes it easier if you understand what you learning. Example: General Order #10: To salute all officers and colors and standards not cased. ** Often individuals recite and memorize what they need to know, but don’t understand the terms. In this example, “Colors” and “standards” are referring to the national ensign (American flag). The ensign is referred to as the National colors (colors for short) when it’s flying from a staff or pike, carried by an individual or when displayed on a fixed spot like a flagpole. If you have ever seen the ensign (American flag) mounted to a car, this is referred to the national “standard.” “Colors” and “standards” are cased when they are furled and placed in a protective covering. So, you would not salute a American flag (ensign) cased in shadow box or protective sleeve from a funeral. I hope this helps some?
Read them over and over again and read the entire eleven general orders while in the plank position. Therefor you’re practicing partially for the PRT and boot
