Christian wants to use his contract to win the title but Hangman doesn't want him to cheat to win, hence why he took a while to actually hand over the contract and then immediately walked away (what I don't know won't hurt me sort of mentality)

Christian is tied to the death riders story because he has the contract for the title so he can cash in whenever, and Jay White isnt really tied to the death riders, he didnt come down for anything related to the death riders, he came down to screw over Christian because Christian cost him that match against Hangman and then Claudio and Pac came down and only saw Jay in the ring and Mox down so they attacked him and then Jay called out Pac off mic.
I tend to disagree I think there’s an easy explanation to all of them being involved. There’s clearly been a deal struck for Christian to help Hangman and vice versa. Hangman the original AEW guy would prefer to even see a guy like Christian be champion than Moxley after what he’s been doing. Jay White wants retribution on Christian for all of the interference in his matches. Christian is solely self driven and will take advantage of any opportunity to cash in his chance when best suits him. It’s a slight departure from the storyline but there’s a way to tie it in. I think we all agree Darby is probably the end goal to beat Moxley, but you need this reign to last longer to get there. Danny Garcia just won the TNT and has the continental classic so doesn’t fit into the main event scene right now, Mark Brisco doesn’t fit. Honestly there were reports of the Bucks taking time off then coming back to be part of the group that “saves” AEW as faces. The first part of that if they want to keep Jack as part of the Elite is to have him finally turn and try to help against Mox and he’s a next challenger

I wasn’t able to watch the PPV last night, however, I did see the post-match stuff following Moxley vs. OC and I really liked it. A few months back, Christian Cage promised Hangman Page that he would get the 1st title shot after Cage won the Championship.

Christian has been talking about the world title and his contract. They all are also not really the targets of Mox's promos as they are evolved accomplished stars. The thing that I love about Ospreay vs Fletcher is how it compares to Ospreay vs Omega. When they had their Wrestlekingdom 17 match, everybody thought Ospreay was winning, and Omega would pass the torch. Ospreay wrestles a perfect match, Omega is old and injured and tired. But Omega with his experience wins the match by meeting Ospreay’s ability with just violence and brutality. Omega wins. Forbidden Door, Ospreay wrestles a perfect match, but this time before Kenny can counter with that violence, Ospreay does it first, and when he mixes the brutality with his ability, and he’s focused, Omega can’t keep up. Ospreay vs Fletcher was set up like the WrestleKingdom match, Fletcher had to beat Ospreay to step out of his shadow, Ospreay needed to win to prove he was still better. Fletcher wrestles a perfect match, and Ospreay never really goes to that violent place to make up for his injuries. Either because it’s his friend, or he’s lost his edge, or he doesn’t respect Fletcher enough and thinks he can win the match just by showing up, like in their first AEW match.

O'reilly was that angry because Cole and the undisputed Kingdom were screaming after MJF for 2 minutes while Rody was lying on the floor in serious pain. O'reilly was immediately looking for Rody and then Matt Taven and Mike Bennett realized it while Cole was rageing around for another Minute not careing for his friend at all because he is to focused on his revenge. I think they played it up in the ring pretty well (most of the time on the edge of the screen or in the backround. commantary did`t realy catch up on it and then even discussed why O'reilly shoved Cole away once he catched up on Rody. Cole kinda even interupted O'reilly while he was helping Rody and as a reaction to this he shoved him away.

Who should be the ones put forth to oppose The Death Riders? Three words: House of Black. Find them some more soldiers. (Maybe Vincent and Dutch from The Righteous.) Bring back Julia Hart. And go to war. Also, Bullet Club would be interesting. But not The Bang Bang Gang. They should revamp BC Gold to actually resemble a Bullet Club faction, With Jay, Juice & Colten Gunn being joined by someone like Ricky Starks, Scorpio Sky or Preston Vance, with Anna Jay joining to offset Marina. I also think Trent Baretta should come back as a member of The Death Riders.
For me, the matches of the night were Big Boom! AJ/QT, Mercedes/Statlander, Hangman/White and Ospreay/Fletcher. Everything else on the show was either good or alright, the crowd being cold for most of the show (especially Garcia/Perry) did not help the perception of the show. I know it was Danielson’s choice but Mox as champ is not doing anything for me. He just rambles every time he cuts a promo now and the Death Riders always getting involved in Moxley’s matches is going to get old very quickly. I want AEW to succeed but this has been their worst year quality-wise and I can only hope Tony Khan bucks his ideas up come 2025.

So many issues with things in aew, private party worse off as champions than they were 5 years ago, mjf is STALE, he also hasn't evolved his character even slightly. Ricochet had a bad match, don't care about the 2 create a wrestlers of garcia and perry and the finish of the main event was awful. Just ROUGH. And ill say this, tempest is 1000% right on ricochet. Hes been built up as ospreys equal, as someone who wwe fumbled and look at how incredible he is and just one of the best in the world and hes just wn above average wrestler. Hes no where near the level hes been propped up to be. Plain and simple and this match absolutely displayed it.

OMG I am so tired of this Ospreay praise. He is so overrated. Like he is not good in the ring, he does not sell a single thing. He has long and just plain boring matches, I have hated all his matches this year. Man why are we pretending he so good because he just isn't. He went to AEW because he knew if he went to WWE he wouldn't be able to come close to actually having a good match or hell anything good, because lets face it, AEW does not know how to tell a story and is a company that is dead.

So many issues with things in aew, private party worse off as champions than they were 5 years ago, mjf is STALE, he also hasn't evolved his character even slightly. Ricochet had a bad match, don't care about the 2 create a wrestlers of garcia and perry and the finish of the main event was awful. Just ROUGH.
And ill say this, tempest is 1000% right on ricochet. Hes been built up as ospreys equal, as someone who wwe fumbled and look at how incredible he is and just one of the best in the world and hes just wn above average wrestler. Hes no where near the level hes been propped up to be. Plain and simple and this match absolutely displayed it.
