I had the same problem with my cub, I had the generator rebuilt, polarized the generator and still no charge, I talked to the guy who rebuilt the generator, he said do not polarize the generator generator, this will kill the voltage regulator I put a new regulator without polarizing and the generator worked perfectly

Did you check the voltage regulator, may not be the generator. Generators not genning ain't always the generators fault.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed, at least the gen looks good now😆. I did clean the points on the regulator, it’s putting out a small charge so we will see if it comes around 🤞🤞

Easy fix under 30 min buddy .

I got it charging a bit by exciting the generator and cleaning regulator points. So fingers crossed it works this season. Or we will spend the money and go 12v
