4:45 This train is literally the lifeline of our town! Earlier there was Teesta Torsha but it wasn't the best of choice! Ever since Padatik was extended to Alipurduar, life's gotten all easier! It leaves around 5:45, comfortable for almost everyone (and during evening when the roads are not so busy)! We also have Mahananda Express and Kanchankanya Express from Alipurduar Jn but they take around 5 five hours just to reach NJP (whereas Padatik does that in barely three hours) and we all know the reputation those trains have, being late (though you will enjoy some beautiful scenary of jungle, safari and mountains with those trains. If you are tourist, I would recommend you to take The Alipurduar Jn - NJP/Siliguri Jn intercity or these two trains byt if you are for work, never opt for these)! Really thankful for Padatik Express!
